Barbie Roberts: 1959
Like I said, if you've already downloaded her, you don't really have to update her. Nothing about her appearance has changed.
------
Little known fact about daluved1:
She freaking loves Barbies!
It's true! Growing up as an only child, I spent many days sitting Indian-style in front of a doll house. Instead of getting me that little brother or sister that I always wanted for Christmas, my parents showered me with Barbie dolls and dream houses. So overtime I've acquired this...slightly insane...obsession with Barbie dolls.
I've been wanting to make a Barbie sim for while, so I decided to do one from my favorite era; the late 50s, early 60s model.
This doll has a distinct side-glance look, which is what really makes them so rare. I tried to make the sim resemble the doll as much as possible, while at the same time keeping the sim looking...well....like a sim.
About Barbie
-Young Adult/Female
-Ambitious (duh--she can do anything!)
-Good
-Friendly
-Neat
-Family Oriented
Favorites
-Pink
-Pancakes
-Pop
I didn't stop just with the sim! I wanted to make Ms. Roberts extra special by giving her a custom wardrobe as well. All of these are are not included in the .rar file. They must be downloaded separately at LeeFish.
Her everyday outfit is made from a custom mesh (by me).
I also made Barbie's iconic striped pin-up suit.
And lastly, a simple formal outfit.
Hacks Used:
-Some sort of slider hack. I use the slider hack that's part of AD85's "coremod" set found here.
-Jonha's Sliders
-Delphy's Breast Sliders
-Facial Sliders by Ahmad (bella3lek4)
-Chin-to-Neck Slider by Heriet
**Barbie's face and body were altered extensively with custom sliders, without these sliders installed, the sim will *snap* out of shape whenever you try to alter her.
Custom Content By Me (Not Included):
Golden Girl Dress
Suburban Shopper Dress
Classic Pin-Up Suit

Install Instructions
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the sim to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sim file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SavedSims folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game, enter Create-a-Sim, and save a sim to the sim bin to create this folder, rather than doing so manually. After that you can close the game and put the .sim file in SavedSims
4. Once the .sim file is in SavedSims, you can load the game, and look for your sim in the premade sims bin in Create-a-Sim.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
