Gurra's Longer/Shorter Days Mod

This mod is no longer actively supported but is still functional so I will leave it up. It was created on patch level 1.15 but it should work on all later versions as well.

If you have the Seasons EP I recommend uninstalling this mod and instead use the NRaas Retuner or my Sunrise/Sunset Season Offset mod (http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=541811) to adjust sunrise and sunset times. This is what I do and is why this mod is no longer actively supported by me.

The mod is however still compatible with the Seasons EP if you do want to use it. The times this mod adjusts are the default sunset/sunrise times and then the different seasons will adjust around these values.

Are you tired of having sunrise at 6AM and sunset at 6PM, and want longer, or shorter, days for your sims? Then you might be interested in this.

I never found it realistic to have only 12 hours day in The Sims 3, since it's summer all the time. Therefore I made this mod, to give me, and you others, an opportunity to get longer, or shorter, days in your game.

This mod has been divided into 11 different versions, each and every one giving different sunrise and sunset times. Below are 2 list, one presenting the Longer Days versions, and one presenting the Shorter Days version. You might download any of them, but you should only use ONE at a time in your game.

LONGER DAYS
These versions of the mod give you longer days.

This version gives you sunrise at 4AM and sunset at 9PM.

This version gives you sunrise at 4AM and sunset at 10PM.

This version gives you sunrise at 5AM and sunset at 9PM.

This version gives you sunrise at 5AM and sunset at 10PM.

This version gives you sunrise at 6AM and sunset at 8PM.

This version gives you sunrise at 6AM and sunset at 9PM.

This version gives you midnight sun (always day), with sunrise at 12AM and sunset at 12AM.

SHORTER DAYS
These versions of the mod give you shorter days.

This version gives you polar night (always night), with sunrise at 12PM and sunset at 12PM.

COMPATIBILITY
This mod does NOT work together with mods doing changes in the SkyCommon.ini file, such as dDefinder's Outdoor Lighting Tweaks mod or AD85's Outdoor Light Overhaul mod. If you are interested in using such a mod, and still have longer/shorter days, please read this post:
