I have been working on this for ages, doing bits at a time, many modifications, and play-testing. Building apartments that function properly is quite an annoying process. I hope you enjoy them. I have come across a few bugs and work arounds for apartments in general. I will talk about them at the end of the post, so please take the time to read it, these points could help you in the future!

This complex features a large public area with lovely gardens and fountains, a barbeque area, and a small park for children. Your sims can work-out in the public gym, shower in the locker-room facilities, take a dip in pool, and follow it up with some relaxing time in the jacuzzi. There are various activities available, such as hop-scotch, chess, baby-foot, and painting. A maintenance room is available in the poolhouse for the inventing hobby. You will also find parking for your automobiles and bikes.

The apartments are nearly identicle, with variations on colors and themes. Each apartment features a main room with kitchen, living, and dining areas, as well as a study nook. They each have a private balcony and one bathroom with laundry facilities, and come equipped with fire and burglar alarms. There are no level skip markers in any of the versions.

There are three versions available. I have play tested all of them, and have hopefully fixed all the details.

The 2 BR Apartment version:
  • Middle Level.
  • Fully furnished 2 BR apartment.
  • Other units are empty and should be NPC ready. It may take a week or two for sims to move in.
  • Cost Unfurnished: 4, 130
  • Cost Furnished 23, 904

The 3 BR Apartment version:
  • Middle Level.
  • Fully furnished 3BR apartment.
  • Other units are empty and should be NPC ready. It may take a week or two for sims to move in.
  • Cost Unfurnished: 5, 250
  • Cost Furnished 29, 853

The Multifamily version:
  • Cost Unfurnished: 21, 338
  • Cost Furnished 131, 981
  • All units accessible
  • All units are fully furnished.
  • Comfortably accommodates up to 18 sims and 3 babies.
  • If you want to control more than 8 sims, you will need either Twallan's Master Controller or the AwesomeMod, Allow Overstuffed Houses setting
  • You may want to consider one of Flyby's Door modifications to assign doors to families.

******Notes******
  • Pizza delivery will bug out in your neighborhood if player-made apartments are placed in your neighborhood, before a pre-made EA apartment exists. You MUST place an EA pre-made apartment somewhere in your neighborhood and save the game before you place this lot, if you do not want this to occur!!!!!!!!!! See my post on Pizza Delivery glitch
  • Please see the apartment tutorial here to understand how the NPC doors function.
  • In the multi-family version, units are furnished, so if you prefer to change units, it should simply be a matter of following the above tutorial and using the following cheats:
testingcheatsenabled on, restrictbuildbuyinbuildings false, and buydebug
in order to unmake the npc door(s) for the unit(s) you want to move to, place the hidden room markers, and set the npc doors to the units you do not want to use. Please be VERY careful of the order you do this, and move families out first. If you mix up the order, your game will get stuck in a loop, and you will have to Ctrl+alt+delete to shut down the game.
  • Bear in mind that without cheats, the window to mark/unmark NPC door will never appear on the ground level. You must trick the game to set/unset the NPC door on the ground level by moving (movingobjects on) the door to a wall where it can properly be flagged, such as an apartment on an upper level, making your settings, and then moving the door back where you want it to be. NPCs will move in if you set it, you just will not see the option in the pie menu. This is what I did to set the apartments for NPCs in the 2BR and 3BR versions. I talk about this problem in this thread
  • Alternatively, there is an Fix for the MakeNPCDoor Build/Buy Interaction by Buzzler
  • Sometimes, when loading the game/lot, the bunkbeds will spawn and stack multiple copies of themselves, causing the bed to flicker. I have no idea why this happens. If this happens, you need to grab and delete the offending excess spawns. They cost 0 and have a blue stripe texture. Just escape if you grab the wrong bed and regrab.

Lot Size: 4x4
Lot Price: 21,338 - 131,981
