Welcome to Braithe Cottage.
I built this house for a couple to start their family in; however, they quickly decided to put this on hold to pursue a career in toy making and flower arranging. The large space on entering this lot was perfect for their little shop.
The attached living space, though small, is highly functional. My sims never bump into each other, despite seemingly overly small areas. For two, or even three sims, the space is perfect; I managed to fit everything they needed in without any trouble.
The time came that the couple outgrew this little house, now with three children; a young boy and infant twins. However, I enjoyed playing this lot so much that, after they left, I came back and renovated it for everyone here.
House Details:
There are two bedrooms, a large bathroom and a functional kitchen and living area. There is also a large, bright shop space attached, which is perfect for new businesses.
The custom content is as minimal as I could manage; I wanted to make it entirely clean, but using maxis only seemed to suck the life out of it a bit. As such, I've kept the decor fairly neutral, so it will be easy for your sims to put their own stamp on the place.
The furnishing is minimal, but again, functional. Skill building items are needed, but the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom are fully equipped. The living room could use padding out, but will also just about function.
No hacks or cheats were used and this lot has been fully game tested.
This is my first upload, so I kept it relatively simple. If you run into any problems, please let me know and I'll see what I can do. Feel free to have fun with this house; If you do decide to use it and fix it up your way, I'd love to see what you do with it!
