Description

The 'Lapis Lazuli' is a small, but fully equiped houseboat. It has almost entirely been constructed out of light and durable types of wood, in a simple yet elegant design. Even though this houseboat's shape is not very aerodynamic, it is extremely stable. In addition, most of the furniture has been firmly affixed to the walls, in order to prevent shifting during rough weather. (Do note, however, that it is still advisable to regularly check the weather forecast and to return the houseboat to port in case of a storm.)

The 'Lapis Lazuli' contains a basic kitchen area, with a large fridge, electric stove, oven, and sink. The bathroom contains a single toilet and bathtub. Additionally, it comes with a dining area, 4 seater couch, desk and bookshelf, which are built-in and cannot be removed.

A maximum of two people can comfortably take up residence in this very reasonably priced houseboat. It is a perfect fit for adventurous young adult sims who venture out into the wide world for the first time.

Note: Hi everyone, I'm Dromin. This is my very first upload, so I figured I should start with something small. Like a starter houseboat I actually have a pretty long history as a builder, even though I've never uploaded any of my creations before. My specialty: cramming an obscene amount of items into a tiny space, while making sure everything is still usable. (I had to hold back on this one, because I wanted to keep the price under $16,500. Budget constraints: not my specialty.)

Specifics

Lot Size: 10 x 12 (Small Barge Houseboat)

1st Floor: Living area | Kitchen area
2nd Floor: Double bedroom | Bathroom

Furnished Lot Value: $16,238
Unfurnished Lot Value: $11,103
Note: I've had some issues with determining the lot value - the empty house bin and the buy/build mode lot value display each give me different numbers. And I'm fairly certain that while I was building it, the numbers were different still from the ones I get now. However, in all cases the price of the furnished lot was below $16,500, so it should still be usable as a starter home.

EPs, SPs and CC

I've used items from the following EPs and SPs:
  • Base game (fridge, sink, barstools, table, chair, table lamps, bath, toilet, deco)
  • World adventures (plant)
  • Ambitions (door, kitchen counters & islands, deco)
  • Late night (couch, bookshelf, deco)
  • Generations (shelves, deco)
  • Pets (stove, plant)
  • Showtime (windows, bed)
  • Seasons (dresser, deco)
  • Univeristy life (laptop, end tables, deco)
  • Island life (houseboat functionality)
  • Fast Lane Stuff (deco)
  • Outdoor Living Stuff (deco)
  • Town Life Stuff (ceiling lamps)

The house does not contain any CC.

Note: I've heard that, if you don't have some of these EPs or SPs, the items will be automatically replaced by different ones that have the same function. I have never tried this myself, so I have no idea how well it would work. I've chosen and placed most of the items specifically to appear 'built-in' and replacing these will probably mess up the decor, and possibly even cause routing issues.
