What's the worst part about going to school? Homework. What's the best part of being an adult and having a real job? Money. But a very close second is "No Homework!" Well some of those career goals feel like homework. I mean I'm writing books for a living why do I need to "Practice Writing" at home? For whom? And who tells this person I've practiced? Why can't I lie to them? Can you over use questions in a mod introduction? The answer to all of these questions is: I shouldn't need to; I don't know; a jerk; I can and will; And no, you can't!

This is an XML tuning mod (with all related DATA files) that will remove all career goals that are not "Reach Level...Skill" goals. I've made no extra changes, if a promotion did not have a skill requirement then, with this mod installed, it will have no goal requirements (you will still need a high work performance.) All of the Skill requirements are unchanged and are right where the game designers placed them.

The relationship requirement is also removed as part of this mod, as it removes all non-skill goals, thus this mod will conflict with my No Friends Needed For Work mods. If you like the career goals but just want to remove the friends/enemy requirement use that mod instead.

This mod changes the following XML and DATA resources and will conflict with other mods that also change these resources:

Updated 2014/12/20

The December patch made some big changes to promotion requirements for careers, only four level 1 careers now require something other than skill building for a promotion. I've updated this mod to remove these requirements but it's really a very minor change at this point.

This mod now removes the following requirements:
Tech Guru Level 1 - Play Games for 5 Hours
Culinary Level 1 - Wash Dishes
Writer Level 1 - Practice Writing
Secret Agent Level 1 - Browse Intelligence Database



This mod was built using Game Version 1.3.18.1010, it should be compatible with all versions.
