Edit: Most of this terrain is on the edge of the map. To see it, you'll need to go to your Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Cameras folder and edit the NeighborhoodCamera file. On the line that says "constrain", change the four .35's to 0 0 0 0 (make a backup!).

This started as an increasingly frustrating edit of someone else's terrain, which I ended up completely scrapping and starting from scratch.I was happy with the result and thought others would be too.

The main nightmare was getting the beach lots on the island right, as I've never made a terrain with these before. But they ended up no being completely dumb, see below. Also, if you want to connect the island to the rest of the land, there is a bridge in the neighborhood deco that works nicely. (One of my major pet peeves is a terrain with an island and no bridge that will connect it seemlessly, not even a CC one!)

The long term goal for me is to build up the entire coast with 5x1 or 5x2 beach lots, build the middle with 1x2 and 1x3 hotels, and build the more inland road with hotels, restaurants, shopping, etc, to get a real beach community feel to it.

Enjoy!
