So the June Challenge was Maxis Makeover. I can only do lots, so I picked one at random and thought I'd do that.

I don't use Maxis houses, because they tend to be pretty terrible, so I'd never even looked at this one but it really was terrible; ugly, dark, a terrible layout, vast rooms and as for the roof!

I tried to stick to what was realistic when doing the refurb. Off came the roof, of course, and I had to completely change the layout, but the foot print is virtually unchanged (I pulled the back wall in, but I left the foundations to extend the terrace. Lots of new windows, to get some light in there. My Sims painted the foundations white and clad the building in clapboarding.

Anyway, the house has a study, kitchen-dining room, living room, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms
