Desert Museum. Because no way was I gonna name it the Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Center, Edwards Harris Pavilion .

I've been wanting to change out that moldy old museum in Oasis Springs forever. It was dark and dismal and their holdings apparently consisted of 10 reproduction busts and a couple paintings of questionable provenance. The former Santa Fe Federal Savings & Loan at 300 S. Palm Canyon Drive is an understated modernist gem by architect E. Stewart Williams. Restored to all its glory by preeminent Los Angeles architecture firm Marmol Radziner, it's clean, bright, and a much better fit for the neighborhood.



With the release of the amazing museum set by MLys, I had no more excuses to delay. If you don't download this lot, get her set and build your own. The item descriptions alone are worth it.

The ground floor holds the main exhibition area. The basement contains restrooms, snack area, artist's studio, and gift shop. The old bank vault is still there, too. I've grouped the needed CC in descending order of importance, in case you would rather put on your own exhibit or stock your own gift shop. I hope you keep everything though, as this lot is really a celebration of all Sims creators past and present who love the mid-century masters as much as I do. Thanks to them I was able to recreate this building right down to the pin-legged columns and terrazzo tile.

This lot contains items from Get To Work, Spa Day, and Dine Out.


Inside the 7zip you will find files with extensions .bpi, .blueprint and .trayitem These go in your Tray folder. Place the lot from inside the lot in build mode with bb.moveobjects on . Don't forget to check the "Include Custom Content" button under ADVANCED on the left side of your library.
