UPDATED. I corrected the friezing to go all way around to back.
This is my modernized Victorian horror asylum for insane sims. As decades have passed there has been renovations. There are beds for 8 patients and a doctor.
This is a multipurpose lot (with a history), but you can easily convert it to a mansion, a museum, a hospital, boarding school or whatever you like.
You can also use this this lot on asylum challenge. I've used this lot on my own extensive asylum challenge.

Backstory:
I was inspired by the Blackstone Chronicles horror game and the true history of treating mental patients, hence the name Greystone Asylum. This is not as horrible as the Blackstone Asylum in that game, but I think it's pretty close.
Graystone mansion history:
Greystone Asylum was built in 1904 by John Greystone. It was originally a mansion for the Greystone family heir. It was decorated in that time's fashion, with poisonous green wallpapers containing arsenic. William Greystone didn't live long in this mansion and died of a mysterious sickness soon after.
His gifted and ambitious son, Dr. Willian Greystone, was studying abroad at that time. He was already a world renowned psychiatrist and continued to develop many new groundbreaking therapies like hydrotherapy and organ removals. In 1930's, he converted the family mansion to an asylum for the the mentally ill and poor. He was, in his own words, successful in his therapies.
His illegitimate son, Dr. Maxim Kessler, continued his father's passionate work conducting human experiments the same way his father did in the cellar by the late fifties. He had access to modern shock therapy equipment he developed further to induce even bigger shocks. He published many groundbreaking news about that revolutionary treatment. Around that time, many suspicious concurrent deaths forced the hospital to shut down, due to the resulting lack of government funding and ongoing police investigation. Maxim Kessler fled to Africa where he continued his life's work but didn't find any more success. He died a bitter man, from malaria.
At the late fifties it was converted to a children's catholic boarding school by a private benefactor, but again many suspicious deaths haunted the reputation of the mansion. The children were malnourished and lived in very strict and harsh conditions. When a typhoid infestation broke out in 1964, it was finally shut down by the government. It was then abandoned for the next 20 years, and many parts of the building collapsed. It was then converted to a museum with both government and private funds. The restoration took 10 years.
It is rumored that the place is still haunted, and by 1990's the place was in a documentary where some young reporters tried to sleep there for one night. They didn't succeed and swore to never come back again. One suffered severe emotional trauma and ended up in a mental hospital. She was convinced she was still possessed. She died soon after from a mysterious disease.
Asylum:
In every room there is mandatory music playing (easy listening music station) to "soothe" the patients like in Blackstone asylum. In the basement there is a modern laboratory for creepy human experiments (like cloning) and hydrotherapy room with sauna. Sims can actually die in sauna, like they did in hydrotherapy (from heat).
Upstairs is electroshock therapy room and the patients dorm. Because I didn't use any mods, the massage chair is supposed to be some kind of an electric chair, just for show. Doors and windows are barred preventing them escaping. Barring on the front door is fake; the bar is placed that way so your doctor can walk around it to work, but you can still keep the front door locked.
Downstairs is more historic and victorian, upstairs is more modern like a hospital. Patients live mostly upstairs. There is an old attic too, where your housekeeper can live. I realised that even 6 patients make a whole lot of mess and break stuff when you don't control them directly so you need a housekeeper.
I have played this a lot as my asylum. I've had an insane and evil doctor (in the science career) and 7 mentally ill patients with insane, deprsessed or hotheaded trait, one of them being the housekeeper. Each day I have had some kind of therapy session which lasts for 6 hours minimum. For therapy sessions I did turn free will off or locked the room and started my therapy club -gathering with 8 sims. I didn't control any sims, except the doctor or housekeeper outside the therapy sessions, trying to keep them all alive. Therapy sessions are mandatory and no sim can eat, sleep or go to the bathroom during that time, except for the doctor.
There is a wood workshop session, art therapy in the fenced area outside and sometimes lethal hydrotherapy in the basement and electric therapy. My doctor has a mischief skill of 10 so he can tease patients as much as he likes like; for an example give them electric handshakes or give them fake bad news to depress them during the electric therapy day. When they are depressed it's a good idea to give them art therapy, so you can decorate your mansion with sad paintings to give the asylum a sad depressed mood.
One day of a week there is no therapy at all. That's when the patients can study at the library or work out at the gym, but the workshop, outside area and the basement are locked outside the therapy sessions.
The reason for this is that most therapies failed in the 20th century and it's depressing to live locked in the asylum where everyone just forgot you. The Sims is so happy a game that it's a real challenge to make them sad at all.
Bills are crazy in this size of a lot, so I had to use money cheats to keep the hospital alive at all.

Special thanks to AdelaideBuilds for showing such an awesome asylum exterior.
I made the exterior by this speed build guide with my own modifications to make it a lot bigger:
Thanks to simswithcheese for the great idea for an asylum challenge which led me to make my own asylum with my own modified rules ( I didn't find many suitable downloadable asylums anywhere)
