Lose Yourself to Dance

This small dance studio is a tribute to the studios of my youth. I originally created it last year, but decided to elaborate on it. Once again, Sophie-David provided the inspiration for me to make another lot; this time with the "Flamingo of Dance" statue. Please read the instructions and comments on the Flamingo of Dance download page to make sure your Sims get their dance lessons the way you want them!

Back then, dance studios had a waiting room, a bathroom, a dressing room, an office and one studio. That was about it. They were dotted all over suburbs in my part of the world. The teacher taught one class at a time, and at the end, there was the Big Recital with all the classes. I credit my teachers for at least getting me to not trip over my own feet and walk just a little more gracefully.

This is a more modern version, inspired by this floor plan: https://www.houseplans.com/plan/150...-0-garage-37283. Well, at least initially. Things kind of escalated from there. The lot was created in a fresh game made for lots only. No Sims ever set foot on this lot, and the lot has been compressed and Orb-ed. I have checked the OETreeDetail logs. Any tests were done in my other game, and I tested this lot for several Sim visits. My Sims seem happy here. I hope yours will be as well.

The lot was moved more to one side using Lot Adjuster. It was not expanded or shrunken, however ... just moved.

Outside and to the side, there is a drink machine for hydration (soda, unfortunately, since Maxis did not stock the machines with water). Those getting a drink are encouraged to enjoy it outside. Fortunately, most Sims do.



The studio provides plenty of room to stretch and dance.



People waiting for the dancers to finish can enjoy some TV in the waiting room. There is a toy box for the young ones. The magazine rack, unfortunately, provides books and not magazines, but your Sims can still read if the TV is not interesting them.



People can also wait in the hallway and admire the dance trophies, if desired.
