Update 6/30/25:
  • Reworked the Good Vampire aspiration so the "Don’t drink without permission for 21 days in a row" goal will now update and complete properly. The "Harvest from a Plasma Fruit Tree 10 Times" goal has been replaced with a "Become a Vampire" goal which adds the necessary statistic. Thank you for the reports and sorry it took me a while to get to uploading this fix.
  • No other new changes have been made. However, some of my previous changes may not have been properly included in past updates due to the way I merged the files. Please redownload, especially if you've had any issues which should have been fixed.

I think the original aspirations have a lot of potential! But all of the fun goals are buried under a mountain of tasks that are just tedious to complete. (I don’t want to go through a loading screen to view two paintings at a museum.) And a lot of the larger goals feel anti-climactic to me, arbitrarily ending at level 7 or 8 of a skill instead of a satisfying level 10.

This mod replaces every Maxis aspiration with single-level aspirations each containing 2-4 long-term goals that are more interesting and satisfying to complete. Most of the goals are reworked goals from the original aspirations, but some of them are completely new goals I made myself. None of the goals require you to enter a specific career, so you'll have more freedom to mix and match. I’ve also attempted to fix issues with the original goals when possible so that they complete a bit more reliably.

Completing an entire EA aspiration from start to finish usually nets you about 5,000* satisfaction points (give or take), so I made sure my overrides all gave a grand total of 5,000* satisfaction points.

*1,000 for Child Aspirations and 2,000 for Teen Aspirations

Compatibility Information

You can only have one replacement for each aspiration, so this mod will conflict with other replacements (such as NeedCoffee4That’s Lifetime Aspirations).

Addons

AddOn_EP11_CountryCaretaker_AnimalCategory (EP4 required) - Requires CATS & DOGS and COTTAGE LIVING. Recategorizes the “Country Caretaker” aspiration from Cottage Living as an Animal aspiration.

AddOn_EP14_ChampionshipRider_AnimalCategory (EP4 required) - Requires CATS & DOGS and HORSE RANCH. Recategorizes the “Championship Rider” aspiration from Horse Ranch as an Animal aspiration.

AddOn_EP18_EsteemedEntrepeneur_FortuneCategory - Requires BUSINESSES & HOBBIES. Recategorizes the “Esteemed Entrepreneur” aspiration from Businesses and Hobbies as a Fortune aspiration.

AddOn_GP9_StarWarsHider - Requires JOURNEY TO BATUU. Hides the “Hope vs Order” and “Galactic Privateer” aspirations so the Star Wars category no longer appears in CAS or the “Select New Aspiration” screen in Live Mode. (It’s still possible for sims to be assigned them randomly.)
