Tweaked Education

Do you ever feel like children and teens start school a little too late in the day (9am)? Simmers like you and me pay attention to details and want change, but can't find a mod for it anywhere. So... I whipped this up and I am pretty satisfied.

UPDATE!

There are more features I added to make education for your sims more interesting:

1. Completing homework should now only take 30 in-game minutes. Doing homework together increases fun, social, and logic skill. Don't expect a drastic increase.
2. Field trip starts an hour after entering school rabbit hole. Children have a 4 day wait between field trips while teens have an 8 day wait.
3. Snow Day time window is at 5am.
4. Increased chance of getting detention and harder grades. Don't worry, it's not anything drastic.

How a school day works?

Elementary School (Child) - 6am wake up, 7am school bus, 8am class starts, 3pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

High School (Teen) - 6am wake up, 7am school bus, 8am class starts, 2pm dismissal - Monday through Friday


I haven't forgotten about the hardworking employees who keep the education system going.
What are the hours for the education career?

Playground Monitor - 9am wake up, 10am work starts, 1pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

Teacher's Aide - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 3pm dismissal - Monday through Friday *Changed from 10am wake up, 11am work starts*

Substitute Teacher - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 3pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

Elementary School Teacher - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 4pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

Middle School Teacher - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 4pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

High School Teacher - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 3pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

Department Head - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 3pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

Assistant Principal - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 3pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

Principal - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 3pm dismissal - Monday through Friday

District Superintendent - 6am wake up, 7am work starts, 2pm dismissal - Monday through Thursday


This is a default replacement so clear your cache! Also, this is not a custom career. It is an edit of already existing careers. No need to download Nraas Careers.




Created and tested with patch 1.67 and should work with patch 1.69 (not sure about anything before that so use at your own risk)
