Class of '86 Prom- Never Say Goodbye (24 Dresses and Gowns)

This is a HUGE conglomeration of dresses that I have made most of during the past two months but some as long as eight months ago. I would categorize them as '80s' styled. Some of the dresses were inspired by those worn by my friends and I at dances (my proms weren't until '90 and '91), by old TV and music videos, and by the dresses on the inspiration page. Finally, a few of the dresses I made merely because of the AMAZING meshes created by some of the best Sims meshers! There were other meshes I could have and even WANTED to use and there were MUCH more 'out there' dresses that I could have done but I HAD to limit myself somewhere or I'd be offering 100 dresses right now!

The very first dress on the inspiration page is one that I spent FOREVER trying to create but it just looked like... ummm garbage! Thought I'd add the picture though and if anyone ever makes it, I would LOVE to have it!


I debated how to package the dresses and came up with the breakdown I've done here. Each of the six prom picture pages corresponds with a zip file. The dress in the Wheel of Fortune page- Ode to Vanna is separate too. Most of the meshes are included but you will need to go pick up three of them. The meshes come from the following-

Now to you sim makers- you're the bomb! 89% of my Sims look alike- and VERY similar to me, lol. I did change the hair on many of these just to make the styles more 80ish but it is unbelievable how some of you can make EVERY Sim look completely different, EVEN when using the same genetics (I think Helaene and Enalya are DEFINITELY two favorites!)
I didn't realize until I was almost done downloading Sims that I should be creating a list of who made them. I went back through but I'm not positive I got ALL of them. So if you made one of these beautiful Sims and you’re not on this list I'm sorry- tell me and I'll add you. Thnk you all for sharing your Sims with us!!

All right, have I said enough??!!?? LOL! A bit more... Several weeks ago, I was searching for a particular hair mesh. I went to MANY sites. On my way, I found three of my outfits (2 recolored and 1 as is) on two different sites. I've had a couple of people ask if they could upload a Sim using my clothes or recolor an outfit and I have gladly said yes but it was frustrating to see these outfits with no asking, permission, or credit involved.
I have had SO much fun doing these BUT I have WORKED REALLY HARD on these. The quickest one was done in two hours, many took 4-5, and a few took as long as 8-9 hours to work and rework. PLEASE DO NOT REPOST these anywhere else WITHOUT giving CREDIT. On the other side of the spectrum- I saw one of my outfits in a Sim movie recently. Credit WAS given and it was WONDERFUL to see!
