Siren's Seaside Restaurant *Updated*

The owner drummed her fingers on the podium irritably, as she glanced outside once more.
Five customers waiting and no free tables. And she merely hoped to heaven that a storm wouldn’t blow in and start to pour-
One of her waiters dashed in, and immediately went to the sink, scrubbing his right jacket sleeve vigorously. She resisted a smile and asked him with concern, yet rather calmly, “Again?”
He nodded, still scrubbing. “I lost the tray this time,” he admitted mournfully.
The last of her patrons was now listening attentively, although he tried to look otherwise. She looked at the impatient group slyly. “Be careful when taking your seats,” she told them solemnly. They all perked up at the caveat.
The waiter finished washing his sleeve and began patting it dry. “You can reduce the tray from my paycheck,” he told her. “I’ll tell the others the spot has moved.” With that he dashed back onto the porch.
“Spot?” One of her younger customers asked timidly.
“Where the charm lies,” the woman replied, leaning against the railing. “You know the legend.” They all shook their heads.
“Oh,” she leaned her head back and closed her eyes, being careful to keep her voice hushed but still carrying, “Ages ago, this small town was a fishing village of sorts. It housed many merchant ships that would blow into here on the way to sales, and thusly we got decent business. The sailors always enjoyed this town, and typically never caused much of a fuss. One of the sailors that blew into town was courting a young maiden from nearby, and in his foolishness—love is blind and all that—promised her any one thing she asked. She took several days to consider, and then told him to give her a star. Now the sailor was rather intelligent, and had noticed that a silver ring had been lost down amongst the waves, and it looked not much different than the stars reflected on the water. He asked her if the watery star that she saw there would be suitable, and the girl agreed. Thusly the sailor dove in, and only weeks later was he found washed up on shore, the ring clutched tightly in his hand-” The woman finished lamely, seeing as a large group of customers were leaving.
“But that doesn’t explain the spot!” One of the girls complained as she went to seat the group.
“Allow me to finish,” the manager held up her hand. “Of course our little tricky girl-siren went missing just after he washed up on shore, and the ring that he had clutched so tightly turned back up at the end of the pier. New sailors soon began avoiding the harbor, for they always left with one less man, or complained of a haunting voice penetrating their sleep, begging them to help her retrieve a lost token. And as these things go, the incidents were merely soon brushed off as legend; but be a bit careful, people get crafty when they are ignored, and she doesn’t wait for people to dive in anymore.” She gave her customers a quick bow and went up. As she marched up the stairs, she was very, very careful not to look too closely in the water. After all, even if it was fictional customer gimmick, she had to blame something for the fact that, late at night, it appeared as if an extra star had been lost amongst the waves.

I decided to take my obsession with those pretty little fishy girls from all the mythology stories & name this place after them. (Notice a theme between the lot & my username? Ha! I didn’t until after I made it…)

Anyway, I’m a beach lover girl. If I was any good at it, I’d be surfing all the time. Here it’s so cold though, and I have to settle for body boarding in a wetsuit.
So of course I take my little warm beach fantasies & make this restaurant! Good seafood is the best thing ever, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned in Seattle it’s that dinning over the ocean is one of the best experiences you’ll ever have.
Seriously; seafood ON THE SEA is simply amazing.

Regardless, here’s a spacious dinning area for your simmies. Hope you enjoy & your sims get lots of delicious food!





(If you’re bothered by the fact that all these tables are out without any cover, just pretend that your simmies throw tarps over it all when it rains!)

Might work with lower expansion packs? I am not sure. I just put what all I have. However, I used the “New and Modern Stairs” & I am not sure if they came with Open for Business or Pets… I heard that wall paints & floorings get replaced if you don’t have them, but stairs I am not so sure? So if you are daring feel free to see if this works for you & please let me know if it does.

P.S. Yes I know the N&M Stairs aren’t the prettiest, but they are nice & open and in my opinion look better than the holy smoke stairs.

Oh, for placement, merely put it on the beach edge in Bluewater Village (came with OFB), or another water/island neighborhood (you can find a bunch here).

Just a little thing: at least in my game sometimes the sand doesn’t leak over in neighborhood mode and sometimes it does... *Shrugs* Anyway, it might not look sandy in neighborhood mode but I made it all sandy inside! So don’t worry; you can still feel the sand in your toes, and likely the rest of your clothing too!
