-Backstory-
The Riverview Realty won third place in Most Hardworking Realty in Simerica for their sale of The Riverview Plantation. Many houses they have had in their possession bore holes in the walls, dark pasts, and ruined foundations that which they dutifully fixed and hid away.
The most difficult stains to clean, or pasts to hide are the ones that the public already knows exists, therefore the Giovanni, although simple at first sight, is really a difficult sell for them.
When the Giovanni was built, it was not built by the Giovanni family themselves, but by local punks, and criminals who had no home to call their own. As predicted the house at the time bore little in the way of interior decoration and was little more than a collection of mattresses and dust on the inside and an ill tended facade on the outside. Nobody in Riverview seemed to mind, seeing as it was on the outskirts of town and none of the residents bothered them.
As time passed, the Outstanding Citizens Warehouse Ltd. bought out the house as a "Company Property", yet did little more than send even more rapscallions to house themselves inside.
Rumors say the local criminal organization had angered the wrong people and brought about the night that the residents of Riverview can still recall.
The newspapers called it a massacre, the police called it gang warfare, and the farmer's had called it an "awful ruckus". The incident itself was when four dark cars drove up to the residence and sprayed the house with bullets, killing most of the residents.
The Outstanding Citizens Warehouse Ltd. had soon given the property back to the Bank and the bank, in a suspicious amount of time, sold it to the Giovanni's.
The Giovanni's were the second and last residents of the home. They were a couple, in their thirties. The woman, Diana Giovanni always wore designer dresses and dark sunglasses, and the husband Sonny Giovanni wore designer suits and a grimace when he viewed the Riverview residents. They never said where they came from, or what their occupations had, they simply moved in and renovated the home.
The alterations made were mostly on the interior, they had paved over the bullet holes on the exterior as well, but most of the money they had spent went to modernizing and making the interior more modern and comfortable for themselves.
They never had any guests from Riverview, or made any friends from the small town, which bolstered every residents curiosity with the family. Rumors spread across the town like wildfire every time one of the Giovanni's were seen. Their final claim to fame was the death of Sonny Giovanni. The local farmer's called the police when they heard the sounds of an argument from the residence. When they arrived, they carefully made their way upstairs between the broken shards of a Chinese vase and found the man slumped over on a snake skin chair with a large amount of arsenic in his bloodstream.
Of course the press had a field day with this story, they turned the tale in and out with speculation and craze, the definition of a Media Circus.
And so, although the bathroom floors are marble and shiny, and the house is furnished in utmost of urban luxury. The Riverview Realty may never sell this house due to the ugly black scar on its past. Or will they?
-House/Creation Data-
This is my attempt at creating something more modern, normally I work much better with antique and wood creations. This is a great house for a couple settling down or who are looking to upgrade from a starter home.
I got a very good sense of privacy from the architecture of the balconies and how it separates the actual home from the outside (as well as the looming trees) which is why I decided to replicate it in the best manner I could. Again I took artistic liberties with the floor plan to make it more playable for sims.
Finally, I always appreciate feedback. Enjoy

About Me
When I make things I try to make all of my creations have some extra meaning, some life, some history.
Its ridiculous to get a beautiful, old grecian villa, and assume no other sim has stepped foot on it. I think one of the best part of the sims 3 is creating a history behind your sims, IE their family tree. Why shouldn't we extend this sort of rich background to the places they inhabit for a richer experience.
