Since making an actual, functional mini house is easy enough I put my thinking cap on. I thought to myself "How can I make this little house look like the one in the picture I saw?" Well, here's the answer:

There are 9 meshes in this kit. A wheel that can be placed on either side, a license plate/tail light combination, a single tail light, a triple tail light, a support, 3 edge-type meshes (left, right and middle) to place behind the license/tail light combinations and a hitch.
I really tried to do this as logically as possible. There are floor edges available already: the problem with those is that they would all be too wide since the actual area mine go in is smaller. The tail lights are all separate: because it's easier to choose one instead of placing the main one over and over again- which wouldn't let you place them properly without cheats anyway (not to mention choosing a recolor to make the plate invisible). The wheel is placed in "just the right spot" in the footprint: so it places easily on either side, all you have to do is turn it around the opposite way to place on the left side. There is a floor support that is slaved to the Upright Column: this part is totally optional.. you can place it over the existing deck support if you'd like a different look. (See screenshots, I used it in a house or two.) The hitch: Well, the hitch is borrowed. I edited Prestappoh's trailer hitch (available here )- I made it smaller and one-tile, it's placeable without cheats and I lowered the polys a bit. It has a different GUID, so you can use it along with Prestappoh's- some little houses might need a bigger hitch.
The repository technique was used, so:
*The license plate/tail light combo is the MASTER of the single and triple tail lights. You MUST have the license plate/tail light combo for the single/triple tail lights to work in game.
*The floor support is a SLAVE of the Upright Column.
*The edgers are SLAVES of the Upright Column.
Placement:
Everything but the floor support can be placed without cheats. You do need to use "moveobjects on" to place the floor support under the decking. Everything is placed within it's footprint to make it as easy as possible to place the mesh.
Notes:
*Since all these pieces are meant to be used outdoors, I removed all references to shadows in SimPE while creating them.
*The license/tail light combo is meant for the left and the single for the right. The triple can/could go anywhere. They're all placed within the footprint to place at a certain spot.
*All meshes can be found in Deco>Misc and cost 5 simoleons.
*The edgers and floor support don't have thumbnails, I tried to fix this and failed. (The collection file would come in handy for this!)
*A mud-spattered recolor is included for everything but the floor support and edgers. I didn't do a recolor of the Upright Column.
*You use DECKING to build the house, not foundation. The house will be fully functional, just like a deck.
I do believe that's it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask- but this kit is really easy to use. And the best part is that the little houses are fully functional.
A residential collection file is included in the .rar- place that in your Collections folder and the rest in your Downloads folder. Polygon Counts:
Floor edgers: ALL 12
Floor Support: 90 (Maxis edited)
Hitch: 398 (almost half of the original)
License Plate: 228
License PlateM (triple): 540
License PlateR (single): 180
Wheel: 518 (Maxis- but heavily edited)
Additional Credits:
Maxis for the column and tire I edited; Prestappoh for the hitch I edited. SimPE, MilkShape and Photoshop CS2.
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.

About Me
The exception: My TS4 Robert Williamson sim. I would really like it if he's not edited in any way. He's my tribute to Robin Williams, who was someone I greatly admired. Changing him would make him just another sim.
