Hi, it's me again and I left the "Marys" at home this time. They are really starting to get on my nerves! Talk about a couple of demanding little pixel people. Once I got them to agree to a game of hide-and-seek, I took off on my own and wandered to the other side of town. My little pixel people on that side of town aren't as privileged as the "Marys" and I've been neglecting them.

Since they're not rich little sims, giving them something shiny and new seemed wrong in some way. Looking around one of their little shacks (pretty neat little shacks - example 1 , example 2) I got an idea. So this is what they got:

Or rather, part of what they got:

What did they get exactly? Well, outside their homes are electric poles and wires. So inside their homes they now have electric outlets, a light switch, some plus and a few extra little bits so they can pretend those electric poles and wires actually bring electricity into their homes!

The Meshes: (Forgot to change the screenshot- there are 10 meshes and 15 recolors, not 7 meshes and 13 recolors)
2 outlets- one slightly above counter height and one slightly above the floor
1 light switch
3 plugs - one end table height, 1 counter height and one on the floor
4 extensions - 2 vertical and 2 horizontal (See pics to see how these are used- it's easier than me explaining it!)

Now that you know exactly what they got, here's some stuff you need to know:
*ALL meshes will shift, can be used with the quarter-tile cheat, will keep buying (for easier placement when using a lot of them, like I did in the pics) and can be placed without cheats- even on the same tile.
Unfortunately- they will NOT go down with the walls. I couldn't have the best of both worlds (place anywhere without cheats and hiding when the walls are down) so I went with placing anywhere. They're such small meshes that they don't really get in the way. (Trust me, I tried it out because I was worried about that.)
*The counter height outlet is the MASTER for everything BUT the light switch. The light switch is not slaved to anything and has it's own recolors. Be sure to keep the master in your game!
*The outlets, plugs and light switch are off-set (almost in the corner) in the footprint- this is so they'll match up with the extension pieces without needing a bazillion more meshes.

That's it! Oh wait- recolors. Yes, there are many. There is white (default), ivory, black and metal- with grungy recolors for all, the metal has an extra rusty and grungy recolor. There are also recolors (with the same textures) so you can choose to have European outlets. (And if they're not European, blame Google, lol.)

All meshes can be found in Electronics>Misc (even though I marked this as Deco), cost 1 Simoleon and there is a collection file included. That's it! Hope your sims enjoy pretending that they have electricity.

EDIT 3/28/13: If you've read this far- I forgot all about plugs for the European outlet recolors. I plan on doing those and will update this post when they're done. I also seem to have forgotten black European recolors, so I'll do those too.

Polygon Counts:
Both outlets - 80
Light switch - 132
Extensions - 34
All plugs - 86
