Well, I finally purchased Pets. One of the first things I did was check out the Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and let me tell you, I was so disappointed! In case you can't recall what they look like, here's a shot of what EA calls a P.W. Corgi:
It could be worse, but it could also be much better. What I have always loved about P.W. Corgis are their sweet, foxy faces, and curious expressions. So, I started out with the blank dog template and an internet full of reference pictures, and eventually ended up with this:
The body was a lesson in making the best with what you've got. Corgis are long, low dogs, but alas, there is no leg stumpifier, tail remover, nor torso elongenator. Where the body lacks due to EA's sliders, the face more than makes up for:
I really feel this face captures the "Essence of Corgi". I was so smitten with it, I decided to add the less common tricolor coat:
Pembroke Welsh Corgis are herding dogs. Although they are short, they are incredibly agile. They nip at the heels of livestock and dodge kicks with ease. They're not just sturdy working dogs, they're also loving family members. They are typically characterized as bright, energetic dogs with a sense of humor! Thus, the traits I've chosen are: Genius, Hyper, and Playful.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the sim to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sim file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SavedSims folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game, enter Create-a-Sim, and save a sim to the sim bin to create this folder, rather than doing so manually. After that you can close the game and put the .sim file in SavedSims
4. Once the .sim file is in SavedSims, you can load the game, and look for your sim in the premade sims bin in Create-a-Sim.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
