This is a brand new career for your sims based on the British social care industry. The social care career is available at the Town Hall.




There are 10 levels covering a broad range of jobs relating to the social care industry. Text is the same for both genders. The work tones are standard. There are no custom uniforms, use what you feel is appropriate.

The social care sector covers a wide range of services, from money advice to caring for the community. What all these services have in common is they are about helping people. 1. Care Assistant

As a care assistant you help people who have difficulties with their daily activities. A good care assistant has a friendly and caring approach and the ability to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds. Patience and a sense of humour are also important.

2. Accommodation Warden

Accommodation wardens – sometimes known as property or hall managers – manage the day-to-day running of services such as sheltered housing, youth hostels and student flats. This job often involves looking after both the building and the people that live there. If you enjoy organising and managing, and you want to look after people's welfare, this could be the perfect job for you.

3. Therapist

Therapists help people express difficult thoughts and feelings through creative activities. If you enjoy helping people and you like using your art skills, this job could be ideal for you. You will need to have a non-judgemental attitude and to be able to relate to people from all backgrounds. You’ll also need creativity and imagination.

4. Money Advisor

Money advisers, sometimes known as debt counsellors, help people whose debts have become too large or difficult for them to handle. In confidence, they offer free and unbiased advice on managing money and coping with debt. They often deal with creditors and courts on their clients' behalf. In this job you will need to communicate well and listen to people’s situations without judging them.

5. Housing Officer

Housing officers supervise the day-to-day maintenance and management of rented properties that belong to local authorities or housing associations. In this job you will need to be good at analysing and solving problems. You will also need to be good at negotiating and dealing with difficult situations.

6. Counsellor

As a counsellor, you spend time with people in a safe and confidential environment, where you help them talk about their feelings. People want counselling for many reasons, including because of relationship difficulties, the death of a loved one, or to improve the way they deal with everyday life. It is not your job to advise people what to do. Your role is to encourage them to look at the choices they have and find their own ways to make positive changes.

7. Probation Officer

If you want a fulfilling job that could help change people's lives for the better, this job could be ideal for you. Probation officers supervise people serving community and prison sentences. They also help with their rehabilitation after release. You will need to be able to get on with a wide range of people and have a fair-minded approach. You will also need to stay calm under pressure and be able to handle challenging behaviour.

8. Social Worker (Adults)

As a qualified social worker your job will be to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds and be able to gain their trust, in order to help them. Often you’ll be put in situations where your tact, patience and understanding will be needed and you’ll need to assess and cope with these situations in a sensitive and non-judgemental way. As a social worker specializing in adult services, you provide advice and support to vulnerable individuals. You are also responsible for helping them to get access to the services they need to improve their situation and well-being.

9. Social Worker (Children and Families)

As a qualified social worker your job will be to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds and be able to gain their trust, in order to help them. Often you’ll be put in situations where your tact, patience and understanding will be needed and you’ll need to assess and cope with these situations in a sensitive and non-judgemental way. As a social worker specializing in working with children and families, you work closely with other agencies and professionals, including health workers, youth workers, teachers, the police and probation services.

10. Community Development Worker

Community development workers help people to improve the quality of life in their local area. If you can build good relationships with people, and you believe in the advantages of having a strong community, this job could suit you. You work closely with individuals, families and groups to bring local people together and tackling social inequality. You also help people develop the skills needed to eventually run their own community groups.

You are not the evil Sims social worker who takes away your children! XD The career is based on positivity and helping others during difficult times in their lives. I created it for my own game to be used with Zerbu's Ultimate Careers mod. This mod lets you open up rabbithole careers so you can play them actively. With this mod you can have your sim visit other sims' homes to check on them, set up a probation office, or run a family advice centre! However, the UC mod is optional and you can also play the Social Care role as you would any other rabbithole career.


Important!

This mod requires the Nraas Careers base mod to run. If you have other custom careers, you may already have this installed.
