I added another solution to get rid of the umbrella, but keep it for NPCS. In the download section of this mod, you will find another file. The new mod will automatically remove the umbrella ONLY from the sims you choose to remove it from. Here is how it works:
There is a new option under the "Action" category when you click on your Sim, to enable the automatic removal of the umbrella for that sim only. Every time the game will give the trait "trait_umbrella_user" to your Sim, my mod will remove it on loading the household. You need to enable the option for every Sim you want to automatically remove the umbrella from, but this version of the mod will not keep the NPC from using the damn thing. This is a script mod and will not conflict with anything, not even with the other version of the mod on this page, keeping both is pointless, though... so:

Download only one!
For the umbrella remover you need both the package and the script file.

No Umbrella - Completely removes the umbrella from the game, tuning mod.

Umbrella Remover - Removes the umbrella only from the sims you want, script mod.


Old Description:

I finally got feed up of removing the hated thing every time i rotate household, so I made this mod to prevent my sims from getting the trait "trait_umbrella_user" when it's raining.

This mod will not remove the umbrella from sims that already have it. You can still add the umbrella manually.

The modified resource is:

0C772E27!0000001A!000000000002D594.loot_Umbrella_Picker_Trait.ActionTuning.xml

It will conflict with any other mod that alters the same resource.
