1920's Vintage Home Design ~ 1-click foundation 4B Colonial, 21st in the Series

The twenty-first house in my "1920s Series" - inspired by 62 Beautiful Vintage Home Designs from the 1920s - is an American Colonial with an attached garage, on a 1-click foundation... with a basement (or not, this one comes in two flavors: with basement or without.)

I am really excited about this build because I learned a lot while I built it
It has been adjusted with Mootilda's GridAdjuster to have a cute little 1-click foundation.
Did you know you can have a one-click foundation that is also big dog friendly? (Well, you can. Shasta taught me how!)
Then I remembered reading a long time ago, a discussion between Honeywell and Mootilda, about attaching a garage and modified the info for my shiny 1-click foundation.
The reason there are two versions of this house is because I really didn't think I could add a basement to a 1-click foundation (I don't like the no-slope basements I've done so far (House #7 and House #11,) so I really didn't want to go that route!) So, on a whim, after I got the house all done, I went back in and dug out the basement ...by hand, mind you (you can't use CFE after Grid Adjusting) - it worked! ...It was hot, sweaty work too!
Anyway... I'm really pleased to offer this house. I hope you like it too .


This is my favorite room - can you imagine the social events you can host in here? The ladies-who-lunch groups? The garden club soirees? My mother would be so envious!

Please scroll through all the above pictures to see everything this house has to offer. Furniture for this house includes only a loveseat and a dining table. All appliances, plumbing and lighting are included. The telephone is on the wall by the front door. The front door is burglar alarmed. The range and fireplace have smoke alarms.


My testers for this 1920's Series, Herb and Faith Goodie, were so happy to be able to adopt a doggie. They think the world of Balin (I even caught him sleeping on their bed in another house they tested for me!) Now every time I need somebody to run to the basement or take a shower I have to wait until the current game of fetch is finished. All this to prove - big dogs can definitely access this house


This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer. Pictures were taken with Invisible Fire Alarms in place, but the lot is packaged without that mod. So, you will see the fire alarm over the range in the kitchen and the fireplace in the living room. I highly recommend invisifying the fugly alarms! .

Standard mods I use that are not necessary nor included - but were probably used whilst building/photo-ing/prepping this house for upload...
I use Niol/Moi's Roof Shader for brighter roofs
And, HW/Honeywell's A Little Greyer: Roof Trim Defaults
Then, if it's a Bespoke Roof recolor - it will be THESE adjusted versions by The Llama Park/Tumblr that you see used in the pictures.
(However, what you get in the packaged file, will either be the plain EA roof or the straight, un-modified Bespoke roof from the set here on MTS2.)

I also use FRAPs to take in-game pictures, and PhotoShop to clean/collage said pictures.
And, I highly recommend using gummilutt's Invisible Medicine Cabinet to add features to any mirror - as per her policy, it's not used or included in this lot.
