We're all familiar with the tutorial from The Sims 2. There are three different houses where you take control of Tutorial Joe and Tutorial Jane to learn the basics of the game, and two empty lots that give the building tutorials. But did you know that there's actually a sixth lot hidden in the tutorial neighborhood?

Creative Textures is a large lot with four different houses built on it in various different styles. The name presumably comes from how the lot uses floor tiles in different patterns to create new and interesting looks. None of the tutorials make use of this lot, so the only way most players can see it is by making a copy of the tutorial neighborhood's folder and renaming and modifying it to make it show up as a regular neighborhood.

This lot is actually a recreation I made from the ground up. I decided not to package the original lot to avoid any early Maxis weirdness or corruption that might be lurking beneath the surface. I remade it exactly as it appears in the tutorial neighborhood (excepting it's weird orientation and the fact that it doesn't snap to the road properly), so it's pretty barren and not very functional. There's no furniture, some walls have no wallpaper, the interiors are very basic, and the condo doesn't have stairs going up to the second floor. This is all by design.

I mostly just made this for the benefit of people like myself who may want to remake the tutorial neighborhood for themselves, or who want access to every premade Maxis lot for historical reasons. Either way, I hope you enjoy this and can get some use out of it.

This lot only uses base game resources, but I made it with Ultimate Collection, so you'll probably need all expansions to use this properly.

All credit goes to Maxis and EA for making the original lot.
