It's been over a year since my first upload but I finally uploaded again. This time it's a mod I made for myself, but I thought it would be useful to share it and explain how to customize it. 
What does it do?
This mod completely remakes the bed catalog, changing for all Maxis beds the prices and the energy/comfort ratings (mostly increasing it), making it all more balanced. We don't need almost half of the beds having Energy 3, do we? I also fixed some inconsistencies, like beds that give the exact same Energy and Comfort when the catalog shows different values. (Maxis why?
)
The main purpose is to have more choices of beds with high Energy rating while still keeping some lower energy choices. Other similar mods like this one by Lord Darcy or this one by Marhis make all beds the same, which I don't really like.
It doesn't affect CC beds. If you want to modify those, you can do it yourself. The instructions in the "Customization" part below apply to CC beds too.
EPs/SPs needed:
You should be able to use it with any combination of EPs and SPs, but it doesn't really make sense if you don't have all beds, that will break the "balance" I tried to make. If you don't have them all, maybe you'd be interested in customizing the beds you have, so read below.
Conflicts:
You can't use my mod together with these:Or any other mod that changes the price, energy rating or comfort rating of Maxis beds.
Changes:
These are the changes of my ready to use version. Listing all 42 beds here would be too much, so in short...
Number of double beds with Energy 7 or 8 was increased from 2 to 11.
Number of single beds with Energy 6 was increased from 3 to 7.
Number of double beds with Energy 3 or 2 was decreased from 7 to 3.
Number of single beds with Energy 3 or 2 was decreased from 14 to 4.
Of course, there are also beds with Energy 4 and 5. And of course, the Comfort ratings are changed too.

If you don't want to customize my mod, you only need to download "BedsRemake.zip", which is my ready to use version. There are 2 files inside the zip.
"Borja20_BedsRemake" can go in the usual Downloads folder, but then all the beds will show as CC in game. So it's recommended to put in in the Catalog\Bins folder of your latest EP.
If you have Mansion & Garden:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins
If you have the Ultimate Collection:
C:\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins
The other file, "zBorja20_BedsRemakeOverrides" has to go in the Overrides folder, or else the Teen Style and IKEA beds won't be modified. Don't remove the "z" in the name to make sure the file loads after the other one inside the folder:

Now continue reading to know how to install it. The package result from merging the Modded beds folder is the equivalent to "Borja20_BedsRemake", and the one from merging the Overrides folder is the equivalent to "zBorja20_BedsRemakeOverrides".
