About three months ago I set myself on a mission. I had ALWAYS used rhe money cheat(a few times) and created really big houses. I broke several 'MikeInside' rules, I later found out.

"The Bigger they are, the Harder they Fall:
If you are not experienced with building, dont try and build a huge grandiose mansion on your first couple of house attempts. Chances are it will come out looking ugly and unplayable."

Yes they were huge, no I wouldn't consider them ugly (lol), yes they were usually hard to play because my tired and stressed out computer didn't always want to handle a million doo-dads and I know now polys(thanks Delphy).

So my first mission was to set about making 5 houses using only the 20,000(this only had to be the building-not the furnishing) and to make them half to a quarter of the size that I usually make them. BUT, I didn't want the rooms to be so small, the way Maxis does them, that all you can fit into the bedroom is a bed or the living room is a couch and tv.

Next was another MikeInside rule-

"Think Outside the Box:
Never start off your house by placing a box, and then trying to fill in the inside with rooms.
Square houses are boring, and it will make the roof look terrible."

A box just seemed like it would be the easiest way to go under the money limit AND make it smaller, however I would be strong do at least one thing a bit different in each house. So this last rule that I followed is why I have decided to download Little 'Greay and Green.' There is just something about this little house that I am enjoying. PLUS, it is REALLY easy to play and if you enjoy the relationship part of the game that is probably key in what you look for in a house.

The facts:
- 1 Story with room to build up

- 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, dining room, living room

- Includes stove, fridge, counters, toilet, sink, and tub

- All Maxis stuff except for 3 walls and 3 floor that I made

- Although there are lots of little angles and I have Uni there are no doors on angles so it should work in all games

- costs- 16,404
