Title- The Artist’s House

Description-I designed this lot to be an ideal home art studio for Open For Business. It has a large business sales floor to show off the art. I intend to sell paintings on the walls and decorative objects on shelves throughout; however, the sales floor is empty, so you could easily make it any other type of home business you would like. There is a ½ bath for customer use. In the back of the art studio is an employee break room with a kitchenette, tv, and full bathroom. All of this is behind a lockable door so that you can allow only employees in this area. The actual house is in a completely separate building, so you can lockout all non-household members when the business is open.
The house itself was designed to be a modern home, but built and inspired with a more Victorian outer theme. Parts of the home contain modern comforts, but other pieces show off the owner’s taste in fine art. The first floor has a large open floor plan containing the living room, kitchen, and dining room. There are two bay window areas for reading and relaxation. There is also a small study and ½ bath.
Upstairs the highlight of the master suite is the master bathroom. It has a shower grotto with dual shower heads, so two sims can shower together. It also has a deep soak tub by a bay window. Besides the master bedroom there are two guest bedrooms. One of the guest bedrooms has been converted to a painting room and has a balcony with painting easel. The guest bedrooms could be converted to children’s rooms if you are playing with a family.
The backyard is just as rich in detail as the interior. There is a deck attached to the house with a grill and small table for entertaining guests in the summer. There is a lake with a dock for relaxation and more art inspiration.

You have to sign up for an account, but that is free, and to date these files have always been free for download. The links below will take you directly to the download page for the suggested file. You should download these files before installing the house. If you do that, the house will be exactly as pictured.
If you choose not to download these files, the house will still work fine, and will come with blank walls and floor in the master bathroom. You can then choose your own tile to add.

I also recommend downloading and installing a wooden floor by Hunny. The house comes with and is pictures with Maxis default wood floors. They look fine, but this wood floor is AWESOME. Download the file and then use it to replace the Maxis wood floor on the first and second floors of the house.
