The Modern Aluminium may look like a fancy tin shed, but discerning sims in mid-career will appreciate its finer points. The architect has designed an innovative home which will be the envy of your neighbours, while being easy on upkeep.

Lot Size: 2x3
Lot Price: 59 926
2/3 bedrooms, 2 ½ bath

Edit 24/7/07 - As soon as I'd submitted this lot, I discovered I was wrong about one of the CC items. Since it came from TSR, not from where I thought, I have swapped in a new rar file with a Maxis door instead. Sorry about that.

Edit 25/7/07 - I have added an unfurnished version for those who want it. The terrain paints have been redone (since they keep disappearing - curses on Maxis), and the TSR doors replaced. A few of the wall and floor coverings in this version are Maxis, instead of the custom ones in the original. The house contains a phone and a couple of lights. Price for the unfurnished house is under $20 000.

The architecture is striking, a spike of aluminium sheeting set amongst no-care shrubberies. Paved pathways invite visitors to the front door, or past the pond to the rear entrance.

Inside, step down to the sunken lounge, or continue past the bathroom (with separate toilet) towards the up-to-date kitchen and dining area. The kitchen boasts appliances, stylish overhead shelving and a breakfast bar. Glass doors lead out onto the spa deck overlooking the garden.

Upstairs from the front doors you will find a balcony, open over the dining area, with space for a desk or sofa. On one side is a large second bedroom, on the other, the bathroom and master suite. The master bedroom features a walk-in robe and private door to the bathroom. The dressing room is large enough to be converted to a third bedroom if necessary.

Previous owners employed an interior decorator, who had everything done in shades of wine and leafy green. If this is not to taste, a coat of paint and new curtains will suit your own furnishings easily.

The house is furnished, with spa, alarms, phones, skill objects, etc – nothing to do, just move in!

Additional Credits:
The house was decorated using many items from Simdebster's Wine Garden and Leaf Etchings recolour sets.

Seen in screenshots, but not included, is her Wine Garden bedding and also her recolour of Ygg's dining table from spiffysims.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=2078&ttitle=Dining_Tables_with_Table_Cloths

Thanks to Simdebster for making such beautiful recolours, and allowing me to share them in my lot. Likewise, to the other creators whose work I have used.

This house has suffered from submission problems and the fact that sims wouldn't walk through certain parts of the house. Thanks to Fanseelamb and Canoodle for their advice on dealing with CleanInstaller, and to the clever people (especially Niol) on the builder's forum.
