Title

8+ Maxis Match "Value" Mirror Completion Set

Description

These downloads contain recolours of the base game "Reflective Glass Mirror", also called the "Value" or simply the "Cheap" Mirror, that sells for §100 and has an Environment value of 1. Used in conjunction with the recolours from Ten Maxis Match "Value" Mirror Recolours, I think you will find that you have enough variations to quite closely match all of the base game counters, with the exception of the Chiclettina sets - I have something special in mind for them. UPDATE: the Chiclettina series is now available here.

I actually created more matches than I uploaded here, but I found that there were several that were so similar that it was not worth having them. When you have to find the best match by a process of elimination then you know you've tried to take the process too far!

The main archive is SDmirrorvalue_club.zip, containing seven mirror recolours that specifically match the cabinets of the Club Room Countertop, plus one recolour in a yellow ash that matches a Chez Moi cabinet, as shown in the three screen shots above.

Secondly, SDmirrorvalue_blk&grey.zip contains two almost black recolours and three shades of grey for Retroville type scenarios. The second mirror from the left in the screen shot is technically not a greyscale recolour, but a "black walnut" in dark brown that I particularly liked. Note that there is a white and an off-white in my first Maxis Match series.

You may include these recolours in any uploaded lots, whether for free or pay - although it would be nice if you included a credit in the description and sent me a PM. Apart from using them in lots, I would prefer that you not upload these collections or portions of them elsewhere, if only because such duplication can cause confusion.

Additional Credits:

SimPE 6.0, which makes it all possible
Corel WEB.PhotoPaint, for making the recolours
Microsoft Photo Editor, for attaching the back of the mirror and for file conversion
BaseGameStarter Pro, so handy for testing base game compliance and speeding up the development process
Attribute Change 5.30, used to adjust a file's date and timestamp, which puts the recolours together in consecutive order, with the most recent recolour being the one furthest to the left. Thus the mirrors are arranged in alphabetical order within the catalogue popup display from right to left. You might also want to keep each collection in separate subdirectories, which will also keep them together in the catalogue display.
