Sovereign Class Starship- 3rd Gen Remodel

"The Sovereign-class starship was introduced in the late 24th century, showcasing some of Starfleet's most recent technological advances. The Sovereign Project was one of the new defensive technologies initially intended for use against the Borg threat.

Heavily armed, the design philosophy for the Sovereign-class was shaped by the discovery of the Borg. The Sovereign Project attempted to push the envelope as far as possible when it came to computer power, shields, armament, and systems capabilities. The Sovereign-class starship combined the creature comforts associated with the larger Galaxy-class vessels with the tactical power of the new Prometheus-class.

The warp engines of the Sovereign were of a new design which eliminated subspace distortion effects inherent to standard warp drives without the use of variable geometry nacelles. In addition, it was armed with a large quantum torpedo launcher mounted forward of the deflector dish above the captain's yacht, which was capable of firing at least four rounds per second."

It's built on a 5x6 lot and costs 176,000. The layout is a bit unusual, it has a horseshoe-shaped security section (at the very aft of Deck 4), a big walkthrough mess/crew lounge, a dual transporter room, and 2 shuttlebays in the main hull. The main bridge in configured as closely as possible to the original, but if I had turned security, tactical, port and starboard engineering, the diplomatic officer's console, and the XO's console to 45 degree angles, the video games/computers would have been inoperable. There are 4 exterior lights: the impulse engines, the nacelles, the main hull, and the deflector dish. It can accomodate a crew of 14-16. The layout looks like this:

Deck 1- Transporter room
Deck 2- Main engineering, shuttlebay
Deck 3- Crew quarters, non-essential systems
Deck 4- Main bridge, ready room, mess/crew lounge, 2 shuttlebays, hydroponics, astrometrics, security, rec room, computer core, science, non-essential systems
