Hi All!

Well, this is my second attempt at an apartment-type thingy =p

This is the Artesia Boarding house, for your Sims who want to be out on their own and away from home, but can't afford the costs of a house or apartment. It also works well for your Sims who just need a temporary home. As usual, NO CC! :D

Here are the details:

  • Two Stories
  • Porch and small deck upstairs
  • 4 Boarding Rooms; 1 with nursery
  • 2 Baths
  • Kitchen/dining room
  • Community area
  • Community Garden Plots

Price: $378-$1,130
Lot Size: 3x3

The bathrooms and community garden plots are fully accessible; they can be used as you would use them in a normal house. However, the fridge in the kitchen only has the option to "Make Meals", not to have or serve, so they set the plates down on the counter once they are done preparing them, and you have to tell them to pick them up and eat. Per the moderator's request, I have added fridges and microwaves to the rooms, but the kitchen is open for use

Each room comes furnished with the basics: double bed, dresser, two nightstands, a lamp, counters, a fridge and a microwave. I strongly suggest you download Targa's "SupaFridge", which is here. It retains all the functionality of a normal fridge, but in the size of the mini fridge, so the rooms don't look so crowded. To rent the rooms furnished:

CTRL-SHIFT-C to bring up the cheat box.
Enter the following cheat:
boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
Go stand very near to the door and stand before it and then SHIFT-click on it and choose "Rent Furnished"
After that open the cheat box again and type: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false
