Children can Garden Mod *Updated Feb 14*

Feb-14-2010 I have recreated this mod with the latest patch, World Adventures and HELS. I am not certain if it requires all of these to work, I just know that it does work with these installed. I have tested this in my game with Awesome Mod installed. There is only one version now, which includes no hygeine decay and a small fun boost while gardening. If there are any problems (and you have the latest patch) please let me know and I will try to fix it.

This Mod I did for myself, but I thought others might like it.

What it does:

Children can plant seeds, and plant many. They can fertilize, water, harvest and dispose of dead plants. They can also cash in money bags harvested from money trees. They can feed and harvest from omni plants. They will gain gardening skills while gardening, as adults do.


UPDATE: can dispose of live plants and collect seeds. Thanks and credit to JimmyThePipe for the suggestion.


Other stuff:

The graphics are wonky. I can't change that. When children plant harvest,and weed, they become really tall during the action, then go back to normal after. When watering they don't stretch out, but they lack a watering can. I find the temporary graphical glitches worth it to be able to have children grow their own veggies.

Compatibility:

Works fine with AwesomeMod.
I tested this with BlackCat007's sweet cooking overhaul mod and it appears they work perfectly fine together.
Also should not conflict with BlackSpirits harvest mod, we do not mod the same file (he alters the 'plant' file, I alter the harvesting file)

Conflicts with any other gardening mod that alters the same files I use, which is why I incorperated hygiene and fun improvements into my mod. To Clarify: this conflicts with Chaaviks gardeing hygiene mods and JoshieJacks gardening is fun mod.

I will try to keep up to date with mods that could potentially conflict with mine but I may not see all of them. Please leave a comment if you find a conflict, and I'll see if I can do anything about it.


I've tested this pretty extensively, but please let me know if you find any problems not mentioned above.

Also: The two versions of this mod are:
ChildGarden.package -The original mod that allows children to do gardening.

ChildGardenPlusMotives.package - This one is as above, plus decreased Hygiene and slightly increased fun (thanks JoshieJack). The Fun setting matches JoshieJacks lowest fun setting. This is what I want to use so that is what I set it to. Anyone is welcome to use my changes with his higher fun settings if they like but I'm not going to be supporting a dozen versions of my mods, sorry
