*UPDATE*
I just started playing Sims 3 again and when I downloaded this to use, I realized it still had the funny bumblebee wing glow. I added another file which is a clear replacement of ep7WingTransparent_0x1f294537905aa33e from the DeltaBuild2 package. If you don't notice the bumblebee glow this isn't necessary. Also, if you have downloaded Merkaba's wings you probably already have this file so don't download it.

When I found Merkaba's "Default Replacement for Monarch, Ferns, Wisps and Dragonfly Fairy Wings" I decided to try my own replacements for a wider variety of fairies. I especially wanted a darker type of fairy so I made these.

This mod overrides the ep7WingOpaque_0x91e0a0e0dc86cd19 _img in DeltaBuild2 package so it will be incompatible with any mod overriding it.
The wing image was taken from StarsColdNight's Demon wings II on Deviantart: http://starscoldnight.deviantart.co...I-PSD-258183890

It should show up on existing fairies, if not try clearing your cache.

Side view in game - I used dark purple for the colour.

I chose the bumblebee wing because it has a minimum of glow around the wing, which really disrupts the image on the other wing types.

The only issue I noticed is they can go through objects, such as the bed, when the sim is sleeping.

A big thanks to Merkaba for opening my eyes to the possibility of custom wings.

And as a pre-emptive reply to questions: I have no idea how to make this non-default. I would like to share a tutorial on how to make default-replacements, but unfortunately I can't seem to post new threads in the Tutorials section. I'll keep trying though.

I have version 1.63 but it should work in other versions. Supernatural is obviously required.
