Technical Stuff:

1. This was built for Karen's Campus Constructor Contest - Round 02 . As such, the lot and foundation was provided. No CC was used.
2. It was built to include in a University Hood.
3. I have all Expansion packs and all stuff packs. While the stuff packs (with the exception of Mansion&Gardens) are optional, the expansion packs are mandatory. Your game will crash if you do not have the expansion packs (and M&G). If you do not have the stuff packs, you will find differences in the decoration if you do not have them.

It has been playtested and has been given the Tessa Tester seal of approval.

Just to clear some confusion - there is no toilet paper, it is a handtowel placed particularly low to look toilet-paperish, and then called toilet paper.
The security keypad is of course, the alarm.
There is no basement.
The sign on the counter doesn't have any info on it (it's actually the landscape picture)
The plaque on the front doesn't have any library info on it - it's one of the award plaques from Free Time.

In TS3, Bob Newbie is a bookworm. Who knew? Not me. In TS1, Bob Newbie was a complete slacker who spent his days in front of the TV in his comfy recliner while his wife (Betty) and Bella Goth were making a life together. At least that's how it was in MY game! :D

Welcome to the Bob Newbie Library for the Academically challenged.

We're currently closed but please check the sign for opening hours.

Ground Floor Layout

As you can see - there are 2 single bathrooms, each with sink, basin, mirror, and toilet paper. There are the main stacks here - we specialise in Science related textbooks, so most of these are currently being made obsolete as we madly dash into the future.

There is a walkway between book stacks, and the Bob Newbie Memorial TV Room. We have his actual chair, and the TV he died in front of! The TV is in good working condition, but
we ask you not to sit in the chair of Bob's.

First Floor Layout

A study Area, complete with the latest PC's can be found here and when the research gets too much, there is a fair-weather bar serving 'juice'. The bar is closed during winter, and umbrella's are put up during spot showers during summer, spring and autumn.

Library - Main Book room

As you can see, the librarian has her own PC and chair, when she's not checking in books. (The sign on the counter specifies the number of books allowed to be borrowed at one time).

Opposite the front desk, is the monthly display area. This month's display is agriculture.
Toilets are found at the back of the stacks. These are for library patrons only - public toilets can be found in the park next door.

The Bob Newbie Memorial Room.

This is our proud and joy. The Bob Newbie Memorial Room. It has daily shows on our illustrious founder, and the tv programs he loved to watch. Mostly Sport. If you look at the chair you can still see the stains and indentations where he died.

Please do not attempt to open the door, or type into the security keypad. That leads to the basement and Secret Librarian's Business. Incorrect security codes will result in a cage falling from ceiling and it cannot be removed until the police come.

1st floor Study Area

The study area has PC's. Please note none of them have games installed, and can only be used for research.

The ZZ Bar - A place for short naps and long drinks. You can 'juice up' here between heavy study times, or chill down after you're finished. The Bar IS open at night. Comes complete with a Charlatan for all your pick-pocketing needs.

The Walkway

The walkway between the library books and other activities, is a peaceful area, complete with fountain. Please note - the fountain is backed by mirrors, and any movement you see
comes from in front of you, not from behind.

The Front Garden

As a part of the beautification plan for I.C.U. we're required to have a Cottage Garden, and provide an arboreal retreat. So the Cottage Garden is out front. It has been placed in the form of Pi to four decimal places (3.1415)

( architect's note: I think that the chess board in the trees feels Narnian. )

The Side Garden

On the far side of the building is a reflecting pool with plants and wall sculpture. Please do not swim in the pool. There are no ladders to help you out again.

Lot Size: 3x3
