Index of all things in MLC Palette (Colour Surge)
(Putting on best Monty Python accent)
I have a theory. Ahem. This is my theory... Maxis Meshes are actually pretty good - it's the mapping and textures that let them down and make them less usable.
(/Accent)
Case in point - the Oaktowne or Quaint Sofa Set in the Base Game. Seriously similiar to most every classic sofa I've ever seen in real life - but the textures? Sorry, I'm not putting them in my house! So with my on-going love affair of the MLC Palette Colour Surge - we have the first of 5 texture packs to rectify this!
Enter - 1. Velvet Texture. It's a worn velvet, so it's meant to look slightly grungy and a bit darker than if it was just a plain linen texture (coming next). It matches with the
Velvet Tiebacks curtains that were done for MLC Secret Scuba
Sofas are in Envy, Pixie Green and Malachite, matching with Malachite and Lt Malachite Curtains, and Pixie Green and Lt Malachite Lamps.
The Sofas and Loveseat are repositoried, so only one recolour is needed for both of them.
The Armchair is separate from the Sofa, so an extra recolour is needed for it.
Additional Credits: SimPE Leefish for their Secret Scuba Event that has continued to make me recolour
Some random free texture provider on the internet for the piece of velvet that I turned into an overlay (Thankyou Google for helping me find them).
(I would give more of a link, if I could find it).
This is a Maxis Recolour which means that it is a recolour of an item that already exists in your game. Please check the Pack requirements to see which game pack it recolours.
