I've already made a massive modern graveyard here
Hey all, I'm taking a break from OL lots to give you this small modern graveyard. Since I got my new laptop a week or so ago, I've finally started actually playing the game, and I started in a new world, legacy island 3 by RFlong7 (highly recommended!). It's a great town, but a bit small, so my huge modern graveyard I made is too big to fit anywhere. So, I decided to make a smaller one, and thought that this could help out other people as well. I know not everyone likes the modern style, but you could always change the upper building if you'd like.
Because of the fact of it being a graveyard, I made the landscaping pretty sparse for ultimate room for the graves to fit. I want you to be able to use as much of the outside for graves as possible, because that's the best part of the graveyard. But when you start filling the top up, you could start adding graves in to the basement, or maybe even sooner, if you wanted to sort by family group. When it gets full of graves, the basement may actually be the scariest part of all!
I'm sorry for the slightly wonky picture here, camera mode was just not working for me. I tried for a while to get a good shot... You can see some shadows for trees that are actually there.
Unfortunately, the invisible lights, which I wanted to mainly use in the basement, wouldn't really stay on after I was done using it and my sim went down there, so I had to put in some regular lights. From above it's a bit of an eyesore, but that shouldn't make a huge difference in gameplay. If you really wanted, you could change out the lights. There is a cool small one with town life stuff, I just didn't want to use it because not many people have that sp I believe (I got it for free at some point).
Part of the problem with such a small graveyard is that there isn't much room for the mausoleum. There could be, but I didn't want that to be the main focus, so I put it in the basement, even though it's *impossible*, giving its tall size. I didn't think that was a big deal though, as I thought space was more important. If that really bugs you, you could use the rabbit hole rug mod. But I tested it with my sim, and it is useable.
The second story basement just has rooms sectioned out and not actual doors. You could easily eye-drop the ones I have in the first floor basement. I just figured you may want to figure out your own layout in the basement. The second story basement sticks out a bit from the view of the first story basement (since I couldn't make the first one bigger due to the pond in the front of the lot), but I didn't think that mattered, as I though the extra room was more important. If that's not the case for you, you could delete part of the second story basement. You could always make a third basement level if you wanted (as your sims would rarely need to go down there anyway).
Oh- and it's also full of spawners, and deathfish, and other fish.
Ep's:
Mandatory:
Late night (statues on first floor, bookshelf, piano, counters in bathroom, one set of flowers, fountain, floor light, paintings)
ITF (mausoleum, glass floor, sectional seats, fence)
Somewhat needed:
University (the windows)
Showtime (front door, one set of flowers)
Minor:
Island paradise (roof pattern)
Ambitions (brick wallpaper) I wish I didn't have to add this one, but I like the grungy look of the wallpaper from this ep. Perhaps there is some brick wall pattern CC like this you could use instead if you don't have this ep. Otherwise, normal brick wouldn't look that bad.
Lot Size: 30x30
Lot Price (furnished): 94,592
Lot Price (unfurnished): 73,444

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

About me
Hi everyone, I make modern homes for the sims 3 with few exceptions. I also love oasis landing, so I've made many (and will continue to make) many OL homes and community lots. Use the 'oasis landing' tag to see all my OL lots.
I use some CC on some of my lots (usually just the residential lots), but I only use a handful of it and use a few key pieces quite often, so your game won't get bogged down with tons of CC if you download my builds.
Sometimes I won't be around for a while, but if I've posted something within a few weeks, I am likely quite active. I am happy to accept modern community and residential lot requests as well at my discretion.
