After a hiatus of real-world interventions and interruptions, I was finally able to complete the Goth house from the Sims 1, which of course we all remember fondly, especially as they are "supposedly" rich and live in this small house that doesn't resemble a mansion in the least.....so I stuck it beside the Goth mansion in the Sims 4, just for chuckles!
I did add a small cemetary in the back, just as the original has, but unfortunately when I tested the movability of the lot, whatever ghosts I had created by torturing and killing a couple sims disappeared. How sad.....
Thankfully, the headstones at least stayed!
I realize the roof looks weird, but I'm not too crazy about how the roofline works in the Sims 4. It's either too far out or not overhanging at all....no happy mediums here. So I choose to go with "out too far", which in this case adds a sort of offbeat charm to a home that is lived in by offbeat sims.
As the Sims 4 does not yet have a viable stand-up piano like the Sims 1 did, I did use the Chimeway & Daughters Saloon Piano, found here on Mod the Sims.
It can be found here: Chimeway & Daughters Saloon Piano
Many, many thanks to edwardianed for creating this wonderful object!!
Edit: I noticed in the pictures that the windows look off-white or yellow....this is the way the colour is showing but when there is more sunlight they look brown, which is what they actually are! I'm sadly disappointed with the colour rendering in Sims 4....it's awful!
Aside from the piano, no custom content was used, and only base game items. It was also play-tested to make sure all worked as it should.
I had a lot of fun creating this lot (especially when I got to torture sims to acquire headstones hehe) and I hope you have as much fun playing with it!
Lot Size: 30x40

About Me
I've been playing the Sims since the Sims 1 came out in 2000, and started building lots and creating Sims in the Sims 3.
My favourite builds are worn out, rat infested hovels but I also enjoy the challenge of creating lots that represent buildings in the real world.
All of my lots were created on an iMac, but after getting the new M1 iMac, I've learned some of those lots have graphics issues, so I'm slowly altering them to avoid this issue. I will upload the M1 compatible files when they are completed.
All new builds are completed in Version 1.70 (64-bit Mac). They are also tested on a Windows computer.
