Bookworm's Delight Bookcase in AL Wood Colors

Greetings Simmers!



Today I have for you a set of six recolors of the Bookworm's Delight bookcase in AL Wood colors. Why? Well...

(1) I am a huge fan of Leefish's "Move Over Dahlen" library set (available here: Move Over Dahlen by Leefish ). Its a set of empty bookcases (tall, short, corner pieces, you name it!) and decorative books to go with University's "Dahlen Library Bookcases". With that set you can make the most awesome libraries and bookstores! Naturally, that whole set draws its texture from the Dahlen bookcase.

(2) I am also a huge fan of Michelle's work. She is absolutely prolific with her beautiful AL wood colors of, well, virtually everything! Michelle did a recolor of the base game Craftmeister Booknook (available here: Base Game Bookcase Recolours by Michelle ) which happens to be the bookcase from which the Dahlen Library Bookcase gets its textures. In other words, recolor the Craftmeister and you recolor the Dahlen too. In other words: Michelle's recolors make Leefish's library set all that more useful.

(3) Freetime's "Bookworm's Delight" bookcase is almost identical to the Dahlen bookcase. Literally the only difference is that the Bookworm's Delight has little statues and knick-knacks mixed in with the books, and for whatever stupid reason it does NOT pull its textures from the Craftmeister Booknook (which is base game, so they totally could have linked the textures without any "missing expansion" issues. BAD Maxis. No biscuit!). Noooope, you gotta recolor that one separately. But it looks really, really good paired with the Dahlen, and I wanted to still be able to use Michelle's recolors in my amazing Leefish libraries-- with the Bookworm's Delight mixed in.

(4) So I did something about it. I borrowed Michelle's textures from her Craftmeister recolor, and literally just copy pasted them into the Bookworm's Delight. All credit for the textures belongs to Michelle, as well as a special thank you for giving me permission to use them here.

And there you have it. The Bookworm's Delight is now available in white, black, light wood, medium wood, dark wood, and mahogany. It perfectly matches the recolors by Michelle (since it basically IS the recolors by Michelle), which work with Leefish's Dahlen library of awesomeness. Now go forth and library... for that is now a verb.



Also shown in my screenshots are the base game "Craftmeister Booknook", University's "Dahlen Library Bookcases" and assorted pieces from Leefish's "Move Over Dahlen" library set, all in Michelle's recolors. You need Freetime in order to use this recolor set.
