I've played The Sims 2 for sixteen years, but this is the first time I've ever tried to upload anything I've created. I've shown off pictures of my builds before and have gotten a lot of requests to play them, but I just haven't felt comfortable sharing them until now.

160 Latham Street
Many of the houses I build and play with regularly are based on or inspired by houses in the towns and cities I've lived in through my life. Right now, I live in a neighborhood that's chock-full of early 20th century 1.5-story bungalows that look an awful lot like this. This house isn't a replica of an exact house, but rather a duplication of architectural style. I've tried for many years to build houses that look close to real-world designs, and I feel as though I'm finally able to do justice to the originals.

This house features a decent-sized living room, half-bath, small formal dining room, and kitchen with attached informal dining area on the main level; the second floor includes three bedrooms (with AL closets) and a full bath. I can't claim to have a flair for interior design, so the interior floors and walls are all deliberately rather plain. On the other hand, that gives plenty of opportunity for you to add your own creative flair to the house. The house includes basic fixtures--kitchen counters and appliances, plumbing, smoke detector, burglar alarms, a phone, and some ceiling and wall-mounted lights.

The roof was built using the ConstrainFloorElevation cheat, so it may be a bit finicky if you choose to change it. Additionally, because of the wall distortions caused by CFE, the upstairs exterior walls are deliberately painted in a vertical siding; if you choose to replace the blue siding present, I'd recommend picking a paint, stucco or siding without a clear horizontal texture; vertical board-and-batten siding also holds up well on CFE walls.

Lot was cleaned with the Sims2Pack Clean Installer utility prior to upload. The lot has never been inhabited by Sims.
