Come in and indulge your senses in an individual bubble bath and continue the day with a makeover or new hairstyle! BBS will bring out the inner beauty we know you have hiding inside… somewhere!

It's time for another Maxis Makeover, and this time I turned my attention to Bluewater Village and a lot that I have long hated... Bluewater Baths and Salon. With odds floor plans in two disjointed buildings, both wide but shallow, it took me a while to figure out how to make BBS usable. Removing the giant tree was a no brainer, but the layouts really tripped me when I started this project.

Eventually, I built this new iteration of BBS around what I have been calling a "new age spa" look. Which is really a combination of modern "health shops" you might see in a mall, full of a white walls and modern but stale furniture, and the white and purple spa style from TS1 Superstar's Studio Town. To really capture the look, I leaned on two key items converted from TS1 by CrispsandKerosene, the Oxygen Bar and the Ponce de Leon Bath.

Just like the original, the front building is the salon. There are two chairs for stylists, and a cash register to ring up any customers looking to purchase jewelry or cologne (or clothing if you want to add a rack - I didn't because I like each of my lots to serve a particular purpose, and Bluewater Village already has too many clothing shops). The back building is the Baths part of the name. The spa includes a hot tub and three Ponce de Leon Baths, which offer mud, milk, and sulphur baths. Sims will change into a bathing suit, and it is not a problem for multiple tubs to be used at once. The back right room is the Oxygen Bar, a dark room where your sims can relax after a tough day. Finally, the courtyard include a grill with some seating, and two massage tables to complete your decompression day.

Housekeeping
I have playtested the lot and it works just fine. Please be aware that while the Oxygen Bar is functional, I experienced a few hiccups with it and have not included it in the file. Instead, the default bubble blower will be present. You may install the Oxygen Bar separately and replace the bubble blower.

As with my other community lots, there is some CC included in the file, but this time the most important items are not included to keep the file size down and because some players prefer to install CC separately. Please see below for which objects are and are not included in the file. Links are provided to all and I highly recommend you download them for the lot to display, and play, as shown.

This lot is playable as a business and I have included the Open/Closed sign in case you want to run it that way.
