Mod Description

This mod adds the ability to lead spin classes on Arsil's exercise bikes.

This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

Requirements

This mod requires Arsil's Exercise Bike mod to function.

Around The Sims 3's conversion of the exercise bike from The Sims 2 is recommended.

Lead Spin Class

Sims with at least level 3 Athletic skill can lead a spin class. Once your sim has started a class, other sims on the same lot will find an exercise bike in the same room and join the class.

The spin classes last 2 hours and your sim earns §40 for each sim who participates. Sims in the active household can join the class, but they do not count as participants.

If your sim ends a spin class early, they will not be paid.

If your sim is a self-employed Trainer (NRAAS Careers Self Employed module) they will earn x1.25 more from leading spin classes. This interaction will also fulfill the ‘Train Sim’ wish.

After a spin class is complete, all participants will get the Spun Out custom moodlet and will not be able to join another spin class until the moodlet has expired (default: 240 minutes).

Instructors and participants will also get a relationship boost once the class is over.

If kChargeParticipants is set to true, sims who participate in spin classes will be charged (default: false).

Sims who teach 10 spin classes qualify as a Spin Specialist and can charge slightly more for a class than those who aren’t.

Ask to Join Spin Class

Sims leading a spin class can ask other sims on the same lot to join the class if there are empty exercise bikes in the same room as the leader.

All of the following values are tunable in the mod’s XML files.

Conflicts & Known Issues

This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.
