No Townie Apartment Neighbor Spawning

Update 09-12-2024 to add another version that, if there exist more than enough townies in the pool, will select random townies from the pool instead of always picking the first available, which means you can exit to the neighborhood without saving the lot to get a new random set of neighbors if you want. (The game starts filling in vacant apartments as soon as your current family rents a suite even while you pause live mode, so be vigilant about saving after renting if you're unsatisfied with your neighbor(s).) And it might go without saying but this is another flavor of the same mod (which is compatible with UniApartments provided that mine is loaded after) so only choose one version.

Update 05-03-2024 to add a new version that is compatible with CJH_UniApartments (https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=603534&c=1&ht=&page=1&pp=25#startcomment). Just use the old one if you don't use apartments in university neighborhoods because the new one is very much untested. And do let me know if there's any problem.

This mod prevents the spawning of new townies to fill in vacant apartments. Only existing ones will be used, and you can always create more, who will autonomously move in once they've settled into their new existence, of course.

Why, you ask, would you ever use this? Well, imagine you have a clean neighborhood, in which you have an empty apartment lot, in which you have apartments, in which you want to fill with your playable households, but when you move your first household in, the game so kindly spawns some random NPCs to fill the rest of the apartments whether you like it or not, only to be moved out once you move in the rest of your playable households, and then those randomly spawned NPCs just exist in your neighborhood forever and ever whether you like it or not, which, you know, is not ideal? Like, environmentally speaking, in terms of the amount of character files?

Note that this mod doesn't conflict with, is a less aggressive version of, and if put together will be subsumed by Nysha's No Townie Neighbours, which prevents the game from using existing townies to fill in vacant apartments as well.
