ctrlshiftclean is a cleanup tool for The Sims 3 that removes unnecessary cache files, folders, and log files the game creates over time that may negatively affect performance.

How it works:

Download the .zip file and extract 'ctrlshiftclean.exe'

Open ctrlshiftclean and select your Sims 3 folder.

Choose what you want to clean using the checklist. You can select cache files, WorldCache, Thumbnails, FeaturedItems, IGACache, crash logs, launcher & log files, script error files, and DCBackup while keeping the ccmerged.package safe.

Click clean and let the tool do the rest.

Files are not permanently deleted by default. Everything has the option to be sent to the Recycle Bin, so anything removed can be restored if needed.

Save files, mods, and custom content are never touched. Only files that are safe to delete or recreated by the game are removed.

*It has been brought to my attention that this program may not run correctly when the "delete all files in featureditems" option is selected. I will be looking at this in further detail in the near future but in the meantime if you run into any problems, try cleaning everything except the featureditems folder!*
