"Introduction"

Hi everyone!

This is my first mod on ModTheSims, and I'm very happy to share it!

I decided to create this mod for me and anyone that might be interested to a fine tuning for a lot of aspects of the game. With ReFiner, you have access to multiple features that are shown in the images, like "Set Traits", "Set Needs", "Set Lifetime Wish", "Set Lifetime Rewards", "Set Skills", a utility for resetting Sims and canceling their current interaction, quickly activating Testing Cheats and so on, all polished with a table-style user experience, with toggles and dialogs.

And this is just the surface!

You also get a full "4 modules" mod, that, in Settings, also includes:

"ReLover": a "complex but easy" module to allow open relationships and poliamory, in an advanced but non invasive way, with fine tunings for reputations, romance interactions and also celebrity scandals, and to allow the disabling of reputations completely, with easily revertable toggles.

"ReCaller": a module to finely tune your experience with phone calls, allowing you to specifically choose which kind of phone calls your household Sims receive and do not receive, easily revertable as well.

"ReHelper": a module to allow further tunings in game for things like Burglar events (house robberies), Pet Sounds (ESPECIALLY CATS), Sim autonomy for pet interactions (to avoid them obsessing towards pets, like usually happen with "have fun", "play with", "pet", etc.) meteors falling on Sims, and Paparazzi not showing up at home anymore, and a lot more stuff, now with Isla Paradiso fixes as well, including caves, mermaids and lags issues!

"ReCleaner": basically a module that helps you identifying "dirty" or "broken" items that usually generate Dirty Surroundings moodlets and also disable the moodlets themselves completely (if you want). This mod allows to know what exactly is broken or dirty and needs your action to fix the moodlets.

"ReFiner": custom toggles for newly introduced feature that I reserved to ReFiner itself, like Camera Mode[/b] (a first person mode based on Sims 3 phone API) and "Set LTR Level".

These are all pure scripting modules that mainly patch parameters at runtime, so it's a mod designed to be very compatible with anything and pretty light (despite not in a 100% esteem, because it's impossible and will also depend on your PC), but the mod itself also integrates a Watchdog that informs the user when its "ON" toggles are being overwritten from other mods. It's an experimental feature, but in my testings it did its work.

And you can of course disable it if it spams too much prompts in your experience, in "ReFiner > Settings > ReFiner" module.

At the bottom you'll find the changelogs, see below the quick summaries!

"ReLover"

- Open Relationships: enable an advanced Short Term Context Mechanic where romantic actions are now accepted and liked (LTR+) in a conversation between multiple people, totally disables jealousy, accusations and emotional triggers and notifications of any kind that are related, including occasions like dates, groups, etc. and interactions on pie menus like "Confess Attraction" or "Confess Cheating" stuff

- Disable Reputations: literally disables any kind of reputation in game excluding faithful and ethernally faithful

- Disable Romantic Scandals: disables any of the scandals related to romantic interactions (cheating, woohooing in public, woohooing with an occult)

- Disable All Scandals: disables any kind of scandal related to Late Night mechanics

- Full Romance Interactions: enables in game every kind of possible romantic interaction, ever, always avaiable when LTR is enough with your Sim's relationships. Sims can potentially use all of the available interactions in their autonomy, but in newer 1.7 version this happens (hopefully) way less or never. This toggle also allows you to use "Propose going steady" or "Propose marriage", "First Kiss" and "Massage" with any adult Sim you want, therefore having also multiple marriages!! Apparently in a native way for TS3.

- NOTE: Starting from 2.1, Full Romance Interactions has been patched up to support interactions with other known mods, like (but not only) WooHooer. This means that when you enable the toggle, there's a warning popup first explaining you how the feature works, and once enabled, it should likely support (not 100% guarantee) that you don't see other mods interactions disappear from the romantic bucket where they would typically add them.

"ReCaller"

- You basically have a toggle for every specific kinds of calls you can disable (and your cellphone will not ring at all)

"ReHelper"

- Disable Burglar Events: it literally sets to 0 the chance of being home-robbed by thieves

- Disable Pet Obsession: with different options like BALANCED or ON, you can choose how much your Sims generally "obsess" with interactions towards Pets, that usually can bring their autonomy to constantly pet them during their time in the house

- Disable Pet Noises: similarly, this feature patches at runtime where the code "calls" the sounds, so in BALANCED or ON, Pets will produce less sounds or no sounds at all, especially cats. In BALANCED they have a window of a few Sim minutes every once in a while to produce sounds (like mental health would logically state)

- Meteors are harmless: when meteors falls on the ground, they are unable to kill any of Sim or "smashing them", so they'll practically just get "dirty"

- No Paparazzi At Home: disables path finding to your house for Paparazzi, so they never come stalking you there, and they also get re-routed away if already present on your lot, "running home"

- Fix Firefighter Emergencies: a micro patch that should help the micro-lag that happens when the ring bells in firefighter emergencies

- Disable Teen Snub (NPC) (1.6+): this literraly changes the chance that snubbing between NPCs towards your Sims is started autonomously, to 0. It should solve the issue where snubbing usually creates annoying loops.

- Caffeine Gives Energy (2.0+): this feature allows you to insert a value for energy boost related to caffeinated beverages, so now, things like coffee actually boosts up your energy level!! And you can drink them non-stop instead of sleeping!

- Ignore LTR Level for Imaginary Friends (2.0+): this toggle, once ON, completely ignores the "30" LTR Level required for a toddler to have with an imaginary friend doll, so that once it becomes a child, the doll transforms into an Imaginary Friend no matter what! This feature also comes with a new interaction on your doll owner Sims, named "Locate Imaginary Friend", that allows you to find your doll if you can't find it, and to check out the current LTR Level with it!

- (Isla Paradiso) Fix Failed Routings (1.6+): this has been engineered carefully to try and solve the lagginess and freezes you can usually experience on Isla Paradiso after a while. It's caused by the so many failed routings among Sims that can't reach lots or homes, buffering the whole game. So it's an experimental feature that in my many hours on the Island solved the lagginess for the most without the need of any Custom World or further mod, and I'm still working on it despite working fine. This toggle has AUTO or ON chance; if you set AUTO it will try to make an intervention only in routing failure spikes, so that your game will supposedly run even smoother. ON instead, will always keep a vigilant eye for every kind of routing failure, fixing it immediately. Starting from (1.9+), I added a more aggressive fix to routings, because lags and horrible freezes could still happen in longer/older saves in random moments. This should fix it making the game playable, but I'll keep working on it as usual!

- (Isla Paradiso) Fix Underwater Caves (1.6+): this also took a lot of work and testing, but has been achieved. Now every underwater cave in Isla Paradiso works perfectly by my testings, not only with humans, but with mermaids as well, Kraken included!

- (Isla Paradiso) Fix Whole World Mermaids (1.6+): this is a global/massive feature that, if clicked, restore in a matter of a minute, every CAS outfit with scales and tails for mermaids, with a final report. Starting from 1.8, this feature now completely restores even EA's original color presets for mermaids, especially if combined with the "Force EA Mermaids Population" setting!

NOTE: This option has also a "Fix Mermaid Status" interaction in the Pie Menu, on the per-Sim click[/u], and as well, starting from 1.8 completely restores EA's original color presets for mermaids as well!

- (Isla Paradiso) Force EA Mermaid Population (1.8+): this features correctly manages to initialize Mermaids Data in your save, even if you just started your Isla Paradiso save and you don't wanto to wait for EA Cycle to slowly assign Mermaid Status to every Sim. But it's also an amazing feature that correctly manages to restore the Mermaid Status Data to every Sim who originally had it by EA calculations, so you can use it together with the above feature!

- NOTE: This option comes also with a "Recall Here Every Mermaid" you can use on terrain, to teleport every runtime-present mermaid everywhere you want, with a report of their full names!

- Disable Teen Curfew (2.1+): as the name suggest, it disables Teen Curfew and police car spawns for those triggers!

- Disable Teen Mood Swings (2.1+): again, as the name suggest, it disables the horrible mood swings introduced in Generations for Teens, that also typically induces them to place booby traps around the house. When you enable this, they won't have swings anymore, and they're likely to NEVER place those traps again!

- (Into The Future) Enable Content for Teens (2.1+): this is a "greater" toggle. It tunes up the interactions on Oasis Portals, so Teens can now use them like adults, but it does other things as well. When you arrive to Oasis Landing, a patch has also been added to prevent Teens from becoming invisible (EA doesn't like Teens traveling alone). What this toggle also does, is enabling the typical contents generally provided for at least Young Adults Sim, like obtaining records, statues, checking and winning the lottery, and everything in between. Have fun with this!

- NOTE: Starting from 2.1, a huge support has been added for traveling. When you travel, mods generally need to use RAM to transport your active toggles from a world to another, and before this, ReFiner didn't have this feature, I completely forgot. As of now, only ReHelper toggles are actually supported by RAM transfer during travels, so as soon as you arrive, re-check your toggles for safety (Oasis Landing or World Adventure, any travel in general).

"ReFiner"

- Camera Mode (Experimental) (1.6+): this new feature allows you by the click on a target (or yourself) the enabling of the camera mode, simulating a first person view based on Sims 3 phone API. This is very cool, but really experimental, so it has to be improved a lot! Starting from 1.8, you can now press CTRL + X to toggle instant Camera Mode for the active Sim!!

NOTE: I highly recommend trying No Camera Fade for Sims by Claeric in combination with this "first person" mode because it enhances the way Sims bodies won't fade while getting too close - in the meantime I'll have to find a way to actually adjust camera position, probably using a different API.

- Set LTR Level Interaction (1.6+): this just enables that, when you click on a target Sim, you can actually set the LTR (Long Term Relationship) level towards that Sim (corresponding to your active Sim).

A lot of interactions (like ReCleaner's ones) have their their own toggle for visibility if you don't want to see them everytime.

- From 1.8 you can set to OFF Camera Mode notifications and General Notifications as well!

"ReCleaner"

- Identify Dirty Items: you can now know which items produce dirty moodlets, specifically Dirty, Vile, Filthy Surroundings

- Disable Dirty Moodlets: disable the 3 dirty moodlets completely from generating, at all

- Attempt Plumbob Repair: if plumbob item over the head of your Sims gets buggy and seen as a dirty object (it can happen as a bug in Sims 3 and will be notified through identification of dirty objects) this feature will restore it to default. It's the reason why sometimes after cleaning everything, in my saves, the dirty moodlets were still appearing!

- Show score: for dirty items, in notifications you'll be able to see individual score for each item if you're curious about them

I hope you can enjoy and please, feel free to contact me for any kind of doubt or to report me any kind of issue!

Please, remember to keep every debug logging toggle OFF to save memory and CPU consumption.
