Xanathons Photonic Energy Lamp

For a change from the Starship models I wanted to do an unique object again.

This lamp is inspired by the Voyager episode "Heroes And Demons". At the start of the episode a small amount of unusual "photonic" energy was transported out of a suns corona into a lab container for experimenting. It was contained there by a forcefield and you could see the photonic energy swirling around in that container.

Based on that plot I've build this lamp. If it is off you see only the frame, but if you activate the lamp, you get an animated swirling "photonic energy" emitting light. Looks quite cool.

You can put this lamp on the floor, on desks or counters. I guess it will look quite good in a lab in it's activated state, but you also can use this as some kind of hightech-lavalamp in a "normal" sims home.

Mesh and textures (including of course the animated "photonic" alphatexture) are by me. The mesh has 480 vertices and 500 faces. The look resembles the device used on Voyager.

I have to issue a warning here: The energy caught in the container was a part of an intelligent photonic species living in the sun and its brethren caused some critical malfunctions of the holodeck trying to get back their captured friend. So be careful! :o)
