Numenor's MLF Loft Window from CAS - New Object - UPDATED 08March2014

08March2014 - Updated and made recolorable

This window had no diagonal originally, but you can get Michelle's set HERE, which includes a diagonal version. Enjoy!

I have included one recolor(Red) in the rar file with the mesh.

Numenor extracted this wonderful window from the archives of game content. It was recently posted in his Maxis Lost & Found (MLF) #22 thread. It was basically a decorative object made to use originally in the Create-A-Sim studio.

I offered to create a new package for him so that this may appear properly in your Window buy Catalog view and yes, this is my very first cloned object - Yay! In my game's buy mode they're right next to Windkeeper's gorgeous Chinese windows. They have a unique GUID, so they should not overwrite any other files.

This was a fun project, though I think I have tweaked myself silly. It is EP-ready, created with the latest build of SimPE, and is fine with the base game as well…they look great,too.

The frame texture was not changed only the reflectivity. I wanted them to be distinguished from the other two-tile windows – I don’t care for the typical weathered aluminum and concrete look. The glass was given a soft, 'clear white' tint as a change from the usual blue loft tint. The picture below with a back view shows the shadows and 'sunlight' reflecting off the frames (seen best on the window second from right and at the far end). This window does not have a diagonal mesh (yet!) so it can only be used on straight walls, but it's a two-tile window and well worth the price at only §274.
