If you've read 'Great Expectations'.....and who hasn't? (well, me for one - but I've seen the movie!).....you'll know all about Miss Havisham who this lot is named for. Jilted on her wedding day, she had her servants stop all the clocks at 21 minutes to 9 (the time she received the letter from her fiance telling her he wasn't going to marry her) and spent the rest of her life still wearing her increasingly tattered wedding gown, surrounded by the rotted remains of what was to have been her wedding feast. After decades of neglect, this gothic ruin is pretty much how I imagine her house may have looked.

I can't claim any credit for the idea of a roofless ruined house - I first saw it in a lot I downloaded from somewhere - can't remember where as I didn't keep it (wasn't from here though) - which looked fabulous but, for me at least, wasn't really playable. Hopefully my version is though, with room for 3, maybe even 4 sims if you use the top floor as a bedroom.

It costs about 31k on a 3x3 lot and is unfurnished. One of the screenshots contains pics from my own in-game lot and some of the stuff I used to furnish it can be found at these sites...

PS. I meant to mention I deliberately let the tree branches clip through the house walls (see screenshots). It would normally annoy me when they do that but in this case I think it adds to the overgrown and claustrophobic atmosphere. Just move them if you don't like it.
