This is my Corner Emporium lot expanded into a slightly seedy shopping street. There are 4 furnished apartments, (1 with 1 bedroom, 2 with 2 and 1 with 3), with rents between 2177 and 3016, plus a communal bar and back alley. I've done my best to minimise the number of shared walls between apartments as personally, I find that whole noisy neighbour lark to be really, really annoying! There are still a couple of places where I couldn't avoid it, but nowhere that'll stop your sims getting a decent night's sleep.

To Rent Furnished Apartments

* CTRL-SHIFT-C to bring up the cheat box.
* Enter the following cheat: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
* Walk your sim to the front door of the apartment that you want to rent. They need to be standing right in front of the door.
* Clear any actions from your sim's queue - including other sims trying to talk to them.
* SHIFT-click on the door of the apartment you wish to rent and choose "Rent Furnished."
* If the action falls out of your queue, your sim probably needs to be closer to the door.
* Once the apartment is rented, bring up the cheat box again.
* Enter: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false to turn the cheat off again.

Update 7th Jan. I've added trash chutes in the bar and the corner lobby to stop the landlord getting himself stuck when disposing of old newspapers and trash. Sorry...it wasn't a problem I noticed when I first tested the lot and I still don't know why it happens. Just a bit of Sims2 weirdness, I guess.
