A Quinceanera is a very old Hispanic tradition. Like a Bat Mitzvah, it's the day a girl becomes a woman. There's an important church ceremony, and then a huge party. The Quinceanera has her "first dance", there's a toast in her honor, and she symbolically leaves childhood behind her. There's usually a fantastic meal and a dance, in which the Quinceanera herself is the star, along with her court. It's a really special day in any girls life. (I didn't look any of that up, so if I bumbled a fact, don't shoot. )

Today, I have for you a lovely Quinceanera gown. When I was very little, I went to my mom's friend's daughters Quinceanera and thought how badly I wanted to have my own when I was older. I didn't realize it was a culturally specific thing until I was older. A few years ago, at a friend's Quinceanera, I was reminded of how wonderful that all seemed, and reminded of how I still sorta wished I could have had one too. Recently I thought, since I can't have my own, my sims certainly should. So I made this Quinceanera gown for your sim girls to turn 15 in and become a woman. (This dress would also work for a prom or wedding, as well if you'd prefer that.) I had planned to make more gowns to offer a variety, but I couldn't find enough good ones online. >.< Lol, anyways, I hope you like this, and please enjoy!
