Nova Class Starship

"The Nova class was one of Starfleet's most advanced scientific vessels, emerging as a replacement for its predecessor, the Oberth-class, during the late 2360s.

Designed as a science and scout vessel, the Nova class was used for short-term planetary research and analysis after a region had been surveyed by larger explorer-type vessels. It was not designed for long-range tactical missions."

The Nova project is roughly contemporary with the Intrepid project and utilizes a lot of the same technologies and design elements. But while the Intrepid class is configured to carry out tactical, diplomatic, and exploratory missions, the Nova class is more focused on science and surveying. This is not to say that the Nova class is defenseless. It's much better armed than its predecesor, the Oberth class. Because it's primarily a science vessel, I've included a lot of "science stuff".

I tried to keep the overall "scale" correct, but this one kind of got away from me. It's supposed to be about half the size of an Intrepid class (beam length). As it is, it's bigger than the Oberth class I made, smaller than the Galaxy class, about the size of the Prometheus and Luna classes. (It's a bit bigger than it should be) As such, there was a surprising amount of space inside the build meshes.

It's built on a 3x5 lot, accomodates a crew of 9-10, and costs 98,000. The layout looks like this:
Deck 1- Transporter room, main engineering, non-essential systems
Deck 2- Astrometrics, 2 science labs, non-essential systems
Deck 3- Main bridge, ready room, mess, sickbay, observation lounge, 2 science labs, non essential systems

The bridge uses Intrepid class consoles, but it's a lot smaller. The lot comes with 1 new buy mode mesh, the Nova class warp core. (The little windows were a mutha to make)
The exterior features custom lighting
There are 3 furnished science labs throughout the ship. I would have added more stuff, but file size prohibited it.
