Due to pesky magical gnomes all downloads before the 9th of July are faulty due to an important file missing. Please re-download V2. My apologies.
The blue orchid is a true blue (haha) family home with all the comforts and luxuries the modern family is used to.
Blue is my favourite colour as is building Sim houses, I thought it would be a good combination for my first original house.
Since I got pets I felt that routing became a large problem, that's why this lot is as spacious as i can make it. The light blue/white combination also give a feeling of airiness and space. I also used mostly cheap furniture so the cost of the house would be reasonable.
So please stop by and smell the Blue Orchid.
This lot includes:
- Underground parking with exercising machines
- Garden with vegetable patch, fish-able pond, seating area, chess table and bbq
- 2 bathrooms, 1 with bath upstairs.
- Master bedroom
- Children room with bunk bed
- Study area in the living room
- Butterflies! Yup your own butterflies fluttering about
I usually write here what the house is based on... but it's not based on anything whoot!
So uhm.... oh, it's base game + Generations due to mostly the kids room and spiral stairs. But it really is a great house if you have pets as well. Lots of room for your pets and a dog house outside painted blue is really cute. (But you really don't need pets for this lot)
Important things / suggestions:
- There is a bit more space on the left side of the lot, extend the garden if you want.
- There is no garden gate in the front. Why? Because visiting Sims would go through the gate to the door by the vegetable patch or the back door and not use the front door... weird huh?
- Good for pets, but you don't need to have pets.
- The garbage can might shift when lot is placed.
- Fishes and butterflies! What more can you ask?
CC used, not included:
- Plants Pack 1 + 2 right here (section Outdoors page 1 and 4)By Simcredible!

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
